Broken Britain?

I feel that the reason why Britain is 'broken' is due to the fact that it was based or built on a lie.
This lie being the Empire therefore making it Great Britain.
The Empire isn't/wasn't a lie. It existed.
All Empire's fall or destory themsleves because they take & never give anything in return.
So Empire's are cursed due to the wickness that they have done to others.
For the record, I am Mixed Race born & living in Liverpool. All I have experienced living my entire 31 years in this country is negativity.
An example of this is our collectivite obsession with the Weather... confused:
All we do is moan about it raining.
It's Britian it has & will always Rain along with the Weather being unpredictable.
I've been in contact with people from all over the world & even they cannot understand the obsession over the Weather, that we have... :?:
We moan about not getting enough Hot Summers like we are in the same part of the globe as
Jamaica... :shock:
Again an example of moaning negative Britian.
As I've mentioned in a previous thread about winning the Lottery, I mentioned about the affect that spending a hoilday in Barbados had on me last year (2006). The people had a pride & respect for there environment that I've never seen.
No spit, no Dog Mess, no litter in the streets, no vomit in the city centre after a Saturday night / Sunday Morning.
Just a quite polite respect for the nation & their history. That manifests in a respect for the elderly, beaches, Police, property.
I would really look back at the History of Great Britain & all you really see is misery....

All the above are you being negative. I don't moan about the weather. I am proud to be English and I have respect for the environment. I don't spit, I cleared up my dog's mess, I don't litter the streets, and have never vomited anywhere inappropriate. I have respect for the elderly, the police, beaches and property. I look back on the history of Great Britain and I also see pomp, ceremony, joy and celebration.
The exploitation of the most vulnerable for the gain of the few wealthy elite.
Which never happens in any other country, does it?
London centric...the futher away the less opportunities you have. This has been going on for centuries & still exsits.
As it does in other countries - Paris-centric, Rome-centric, etc. They are capital cities; same thing.
The Slave Trade...Africa & the entire African diaspora still are feeling the affect of this today.
That's not entirely the fault of the British.
Our historical relationship with Alcohol & Illegal Drugs. We drink & take more Drugs than any other nation in Europe... :!:
Other European nations are still affected by alcohol and drugs.
Their are many things that this nation does well & has given the world for the better...from the Railway / Steam Train to Football to
The Rolling Stones....
So am not Anti - Britian, if you create something on a lie then it will always be negative & poison.
So why did/do so many choose to come here?
I've tried to contribute to this thread without writing a essay (that would be very easy for me to produce), I hope that you can understand my points either if you agree or disagree.

Apologies, I wasn't trying to twist your words - but you agreed with Wunderhorse's post in its entirety, which made me think that you'd also agreed with the bit about subjects of other nations coming here, then you went on to say that there was a loss of civilisation here in Britain. Putting the two things together and linking them obviously wasn't your intention, because that would be saying that immigrants was causing the loss of civilisation. I don't believe that is the case.

Exactly....there are 100 other countries i wouldn't want to live in...people talk of lawless Britain...we don't even hold a candle to some proper lawless countries out there!

The press and TV I believe are a major problem in our country.
So many people believe what they say, you see them quoted so offen in these forums.

His " rivers of blood " speech did happen in the 80's with mass riots in Brixton and Toxteth. He did say it would happen and it did. Also has happened in Bradford, and many places are like a powder keg now, waiting to go up.
He also said " Powell estimated that by the year 2000, the figure would be 5 to 7 million immigrants ". Which he may have been a few years out but that figure now in 2008 is not that far out, according to stats.
They are facts but does in no way say that I agreed or agree with his policies or his views.

I may not know the history m8 but what I do know there was RIOTS. Now I do not know the reasons why, but there was riots all the same, and I saw the police officers bleeding from head wounds, and members of the public hurt, and the burning cars and the looting.

I thought mass hordes of youths looting, setting fire to things and attacking police officers, would have constituted a riot. Maybe I am wrong though. dunno

Dont bother again you don't see how you are causing offence.... Wunderhorse did not make any negative comment about other nations coming here apart from the racism they met.
