I forgot to say RWL..... Good thread
Thanks shireen..u know me..not serious too often but on this occasion i thought the subject matter warranted a decent discussion...its been brought up a few times at recent munches and coincided with what i had been thinking about the use of cameras at munches..hence opening it out to a wider audience for discussion..
u didnt know i could do serious stuff did you hahahahhaha

I think the problem lies in the motivation of the person taking the picture. Even though a munch is as i understand it a social event, what is the point of having a photo of a bunch of people that I may never know ? to whom will that picture be shown to ? why would I want a picture of me in a pub ? who would I show it to ? Like other social events I have attended on a wide range of subjects, a picture only serves as a memento to that event. The only point of taking pictures in the context of swinging would seem to be of a voyeristic nature and I myself would not feel happy at some person masterbating over it !
OK i am yr flasher man accepted...(subject to contract)
shit i am highjacking my own thread here lol

I have seen the use of cameras at various events and various reactions to it. Camera users are not just snapping for the family album, they have an agenda no matter how free and easy they come across. Some 'represent' various media and/or publications and often get away with a lot of front and 'official' status. That's often bollocks, they are just exercising their right to do what they chose to do in a 'public' event.
Seasoned swingers tend to turn up to the big events in masks so they are unrecognisable. So take that as a bit of advice if you want. Confrontations with snappers can get very heated and I have seen fights break out and cameras broken, films ripped out etc.
However there are some genuinely skillfull snappers and they at least catch you looking really good, if you want that. Which actually a lot of people do.
Although I like meeting up with friends and having pictures taken on nights out I'd vote for banning pictures to be taken at munches.
My profession wouldn't look at it favourably and it would make it harder for me to be employed, plus I've had pictures taken and not been offered the ENTIRE set of over five which I appear on, rather two or three to keep me quiet. I find this very rude and unacceptable.
I'd most deffinately vote in favour of no pictures taken at munches.
dawnie..apologies for dragging u away but i seem to be able to do that with you occasionaly hahahah....good topics.....dance floors hahahhahahah

Don't start me on dance floors!!!
I lurve dance floors :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Never dancing with you though :lol2:
Pictures arent too bad if taken with no1 in the background and then they should be sent to the peeps on them for their use only
General clicking of the cam should not be allowed in any circumstances......i for one dont like my picture being taken as i dont know whose hands they will fall into

I once had a film that was developed but the photos were not printed. I also got a stern letter from the company. Which was a bit embarassing when I turned up at the shop to get them. The mature woman behind the counter gave a sleazy smirk as she handed me the wallet.
