Hi there
I need a bit of an advice!! I know a deaf man and a deaf coouple, who basically can't hear anything at ALL, who is interested in doing something they've always wanted to do in dogging and swinging.
They both are profoundly deaf, they use sign language to communciate each other, however, they can lip read or write down to hearing people who can't communciate with them.
I wondered if there are deaf people who are members of this site, if so, I would be most grateful if they could help them. Any hearing ppl who knows or can sign to them would be a big bonus, then they would like to get in contact and possibly doing dogging scene!
Probably the FIRST deaf member of this site!
They are from Bucks area and are very interested doing the dogging scene!
Many thanks
Chappylad

No need to shout Jags!! confused lol
I can't see why not. I guess the bottom line is that everyone involved in swinging/dogging has to feel comfortable with each other - and if people feel freaked out because they can't communicate easily with fellow doggees then they might not enjoy it.

speak up i cant hear you :P

Huh? Are you discrimating deaf people????????
TBH I don't see why they shouldn't be able to go dogging.
Are they planning to go as showers or watchers?
If either I'd say they'd need to maybe be a bit more aware and extra vigilant. Not get carried away and forget where they are as they've no audable warnings to make them aware that somethings wrong.
Only other problem I can think of is that they won't be able to hear if someone tells them that they don't like something they're doing and if it's dark they won't be able to lip-read either.
Tell 'em to give it a go. They never know until they try and if there's one thing humans are good at it's adaptation.
Being deaf is no problem on Swinging heaven, I am totally deaf in one ear and wear a hearing aid in the other ear. It does have it's advantages. Sorry Sargeant, but I didn't hear her say NO. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

We knew a guy last year whose net name was " Deafdogger " and he had no problems. :P
Lets be honest if we meet anyone its through the web so we communicate by typing. When we meet we are not there for a chat just a good hard fuck. Dont see what the problem is.
Hornylondon123, if you dont take the piss out of the "less advantaged " or whatever the pc term is now, I wont ridicule the size of your cock if we ever meet. .... Fair deal ????

Good for you Harry !!
I don't see how there would be any problem for a deaf couple Dogging or Swinging. One of the first people I met from this site was deaf and I didn't realise until about an hour afterwards.

Know what Im not that illiterate but when I looked at this bit above I thought ffs do you have to dress up as a shower to go dogging!?? Good disguise though lol
Even at first glance I thought watches!!??? WTF watches?! Sorry confused
I can do BSL a little. Very slowly, I'll grant you, though.
It's always been a bugbear of mine that we don't all know sign language. I mean, we can learn and use that, as hearing people, butdeaf peeps cannot do speach as easily. They may be deaf, but we are ignorant.
I am still ignorant, but I did one course and hope to do another, they are always well over subscribed, though.
This is such an interesting subject and although merely about deaf people (not to sound detrimental) but anybody with any kind of disabliltiy I dont think should be denied any kind of sexual pleasure (Ill get back to that in a second!)
As for people beiong deaf(hearing impaired to be PC!) Why not as long as they are comfortable and others involved are comfortable (why not just because they can hear dont mean they cant communicate!) body language is a big part of sex I think!!
As for people with disabilities! What a toughie, being in care work Ive come accross many people who like the biggest majority of the population have sexual feelings yet because they are seen/registered/whatever as disabled this is always an unfullfilled desire!!
Yes its an uncomfortable subject to discuss with some people but when it some to PCP (person centred planning!) education, employmentm health and social life and other aspects are incorporated into planning or helping to enable a person to lead a normal life but theres still that when it comes to sex!!??
Im confused by that whole scenario!! As I said its a toughie and maybethis should be in a new thread, what do relatives of people with disabilities think with regards to sex with said relatives with disabilities, would they help (not physically!) but to organise something for them or is it yet again ignored??
Im gonna stop now cause I could write a huge essay on this subject just Ive seen it in past work experiences and felt bad for people being denied choices and then not being in the position to do anything to help themselves and even people been given the drug (cant remember the name now) to repress sexual feeling!! Personally I think thats wrong!
As I said too many times already, touchy subject! Anybody else??
Ehem! Fruity! Blimey, if my family tried to get me sexual partners then they'd be trying for a black eye!!
Yeah well I guess it just all depends on your situation(if you have a partner or not!! etc) You are lucky though are you not to be in that position having a partner!
But Ive worked with people who have been unable to have normal sexual experiences in their lives because of thier disability (i just think thats wrong!) Care agencies often ignore this type of thing or in a lot of cases with older people having been in isstitutions are given drugs to numb their sexual desires simply because nobody is open enough to try and help them!!
Sorry Ill shut up now!! But its wrong wrong wrong!!
Get them on here!!!!
Ive heard it will send you blind, (thats my concern) but it hasn't affected anything else !!

Well I don't think there is anything wrong with someone being deaf, dumb, blind or whatever and being on here.......don't we all have things in us that don't work quite properly?

We don't use the term dumb any more, do we? No we don't. Would anyone like to be called it as a legitamate term for themselves? No, I doubt it. Just the same as people like myself are no longer happy to be called handicapped or, worse still, invalid. I am not an invalid person!
And people who can't talk are not dummies.
Not having a go at you, Helen, just needed to make a point.
Sorry. < crawls back under stone >
I wholeheartdly agree with Vix and tigersgobounce69. I am profoundly deaf myself and am fluent in BSL and went to Mary Hare, a boarding school for the deaf, the BEST school for deaf children.
I don't see why I can do swinging and dogging as long as I can WALK and DRIVE, and I have been involved in a dogging and swinging with no problems. BUT some people have a bad attitude (that is IF they are not deaf/disability awareness) and some people are understanding (that is IF they understand the deaf/disability awareness and needs).
Some people who use a little sign language which is a big bonus for me!
Thanks Vix for your understanding.
