Ok it might be a minor thing compared to the troubles of the world but can i ask do people read this lovely's name as
Celticq as in Glasgow Celtic football club? C sound
or Kelticq as in Celtic? K sound
If the lady with the crossed knickers could reply too that would be great.
Personally i think of her as Glasgow Celtic type 'C' Celticq but i am prepared to change my mind if wrong
I always say sell-tick not kell-tick.
Is that what you mean?
I think we should be informed.
I always imagine it pronounced as a K.
We always say it as if it starts with a K

Celtic is always pronounced with a K (kicking K) sound - the bloke who founded the unmentionable football team wasn't Scottish and so didn't know any better - hence the Celtic (with a curly C).
I'm even worse, I stumbled over a Q following a C, and decided the only way to make it all one word was to read the Q as you would when saying the alphabet, so I ended up thinking of her as 'Selticue'!
And there was me thinking it was something to do with the ICQ instant messenger...
Have just thought to add - and anyone else from the Celtic Fringes might already know - Q-Celtic as opposed to celticq is also the name given to Gaelic or Celtic languages spoken in Ireland and Scotland, which are different to the other Celtic Languages. One of the features of Q-celtic is the hard K sound in the work celtic  .
Errr... I've always thought of it as soft-C as in Celtic Rangers.... which is odd as I can't stand footie............ figure out that logic if you can.
So ok, KKKKKelticQ from now on, & I'll think purple heather when I see her shimmying cheeks.  & dream of what I would like to put between them :P
Neil if you don't stop talking bollox I'm going to tell yer Maw.
Of course as I myself am only an adopted Scot - coming from Norn Iron. I have a Ma not a Maw
