In short Yes, I had my RAF career cut short, when I was discharged I had to come to terms with "civvie" life, pay full price for beer was the worst and get a job where I actually had to do some work.... smile

Of course, you could simply find the nearest hardware store and buy some janitor's trousers, pop your expired passport in your pocket, get yerself a PO Box and hit the open road... wink

 Real life is a bitch!
20 months ago we eventually sold our house, the business, the toys - in fact everything went. We upped sticks and moved to France where we now are regarded as "inactive by choice" as the French so nicely call it (too young to retire). What furniture we kept is still in storage.
This has been a complete lifestyle change.
We are once again completely free agents with no mortgage and no commitments living relatively stress free (but few swinging partners, sadly).
Best thing we did
Oh Yes,made several life changing decissions over the years, and not regretted any of them. Maybe i may make another one, but not quite sure what it'll be just yet, but i can feel that there's something on it's way to me, that'll mean a lot of change .. all for the better tho. :-)

As an ex seviceman I can't imagine saying I was going to the SPAR for a beer. It's just not a done thing to say. It's the NAAFI or town
