i'm also having trouble - i have java installed. but get cannot connect to server - get the same if i use mirc, and have also tried telnetting to on port 6667 and 6668 (spot the geek) i get failed to connect. now i know i dont have a firewall running, and have even put my computer in the dmz to make sure nothing is causing a connection error. I was thinking it might be telewest. who is your ISP?
