hello people no matter what i do i just cant get in........................................ ive tried the lot and neil leeds has been a great help, you used to be able to go straight in there what happened? :cry:

We haven't been in the chatroom much lately but when we have we have had difficulty. We had to enlist chathelp to get in and the other times we just kept trying.

If it doesn't connect for some reason then enter the following command:
/join #shhelp
Type it exactly as I've written it starting with the /
This will take you into our help room where one of the chatroom ops will try to help you to find out what you're doing wrong.

after join the // with the two lines going through it, if i can NOTfind that on my keyboard. ive tried it should change it surely it sounds like a good few peeps are having even tried mirc........ no joy! is my pc shite? its pretty new as yup my settings are in english united kingdom.

The two // with the two lines going through it is called a hash. You will find the # next to the enter key underneath the ~
We've just taken the registration requirement off the room because a couple of people have had trouble getting in. Try to join normally, you shouldn't need a password at the moment.

That'll be the # (pronounced hash or pound if you're american) - usually found either above the 3 or over by the return key

im a proper dozy baaastard, ive just spotted it, you know when you look too hard for something, good job my head and dick are joined to my body, id screw my dick to my neck and everyone would shout "hey dickhead" well ive just made myself look a right one...... sorry to you all and, sorry neilleeds.... im deeply embarrassed. redface

ive given up. i tried everything i even tried /join#shelp and it came up with unkown command you used to just log in and have fun but now itd be easier to break into my local bank using a blunt butter knife in broad daylight wearing a luminous flak jacket.

You need to have a space between the '/join' and the '#shhelp' , and you need to spell shhelp with the right number of 'h's!
Oh, and if anyone with a Macintosh is reading this, and has a one of their latest keyboards without a # on it, you need to press alt and 3 at the same time.

Hi marksurrey you're registered but not activated when you came into #shhelp and I spoke to you ..... all you had to do was reply! and I would have assisted you... I'm sat in there all day to help peeps but i cant help if you dont let me.

thanks jo. i just tried again and it just shuts down completley on me , i have my settings etc to accept cookies etc etc. its too much hassle,thanks all anyway.

i was eventually successsfull in mirc turns out my ips is banned . im on broadband ntl and i know the isp is shared with god knows hoe many other ntl users..... its a bummer it really is can this be resolved.?
