Chatroom .. or lack of it !

Could anyone tell me if they can get into the chatroom?.. every time i do it the display on my puter goes bonkers! .. and i'm following the "destructions" too ..
Any help much appreciated

Ive heard this from others as well,friends off mine havent been able to get in using because they couldnt get the site page to display.I had this problem too but being a mirc user you do need site access to get in the chatroom.

Ive had the odd problem too, but i found if i cleared history cookies and temp internet files then tried again it was ok. mIght just be luck I dont know

Sounds to me like you might be using Java Sun which, for want of a better word, is crap. I tried it once and it sent my PC bananas.
In 'tools' select 'Internet options' and then 'advanced'. Scroll down the list until you come to 'Microsoft VM'. If you've got Java Sun enabled then disable it, it's far too unstable and plays havoc with your PC. In 'Microsoft VM' make sure that you've got Java Console enabled and Java Logging enabled and then click 'apply'. You'll have to restart your PC.
Hopefully, the next time you try to enter the chatroom Java Sun will be disabled and you'll get a radio box come up asking you to accept a security certificate. Click yes and then it should just be a case of entering your user name and password and away you go.
It would be interesting to know if this was the problem.

OR could it be that the chat room server is crap??? I've been into 15 or 20 other chat rooms & once your user name & password are entered your in,no hassle, no problem, but the SH room banghead

Personally we have never experienced any problems getting into the chat room, and thats using mIRC or Java......
Perhaps your computer wont allow you to enter the SH chatroom until you have read the rules..... We do have a "numpty" detector installed you know...... lol

Just to make it fun, microsoft no longer make a Java VM as they lost the court case with Sun, so soon it will be Sun all the way...
