just changed the car and want to transfer the plates but cant find my certificate of ownership.
dvla just copy and paste gerneral info and dont answer specific questions.
am i able to transfer the number plates without the certificate.?

I'm sure you'll need the certificate and that you will also need the certificate to tax the car as well...

im doing this at the moment
you need original documents both cars must be taxed and mot and costs £80
but as freckles said ring dvla
