When I was a small lad I spent all summer playing cricket in the back garden. I dreamt of playing for England, a solid middle order batsman, a man you could relie on in a tight spot to see you through. It soon became apparent even to me that I was crap at cricket, so the dream faded.
In my teenage years and into adulthood I dreamt of writing a book. I wanted to do that then and I still do. In fact I have been slaving over a manuscript for 8 months.
What ambitions did you have as a child and what ambitions do you have now?
I always wanted to be a doctor speciaising in babies and children, but then decided I wanted to be a paramedic. Off I trotted to college to do a course which would help me on my way, but........ then decided I didn`t want to do that after all and ended up working with make up.
Now im just waiting till my little ones are a bit older so I can go to uni and train to be a midwife. lol
I wanted to be a gynaecologist.....now I just practice lol
I wanted to be an actress smile
I still want to be an actress

Are you involved in any drama groups?
I have been throughout my life on and off. This is an off moment and I am missing it.
when I was younger, I always wanted to own and work in a wedding dress shop (a romantic at heart even at such a young age)
and now.....I want to be a kept woman
and also would love to write a book and have my poetry published too.
As a child wanted to work with horses or be a vet. as a teenager, I realised there was no social life or money working with horses and I was too thick to be a vet lol
As an adult, I just want to start and (sucessfully) complete my degree
I wanted to be a vet as well, but failed my chemistry and physics 'o' level (quite at the back there please! lol )
So got told by my mother to have a re think, and went to catering college for 4 years and loved it.........
Now work in the contstruction industry!!

I failed my Chemistry and Biology so not a good start, and I also realised I didnt like blood, so vet wasnt a good career option for me!
For me I wanted to be a Royal Marine..
Passed all exams, went through the physical.. passed again but final selection put an end to it when they discovered I was blind in one eye... Had been since birth. I forgot to mention it, Ooops!!
My career options were laid out to me an an early age.. I could be a Miner, yeah right. A labouror.. pmsl at that or as they said unemployed.. Great options eh. 'Thats what becomes of being single minded on I'm going to be a Royal Marine'.
Never been unemployed, never been skint and always worked for me.. Now employ staff and enjoy a half decent lifestyle so ner ner ner to all the losers who were paid good money to predict and shape my future.. Morons!

Mini Rant over lol
I wanted to become a Journalist, I ended up a PA secretary instead. lol
I'm now on my way to hopefully becoming a therapist/counsellor working with families and children.
I never was, nor am I now ambitious in any way...though as a child/teenager I always fancied the look of the old VW Campervans....
and by jingo! Im going to have one!
lp
I wanted to be a judge, but have ended up spending much time trying to be completely non-judgemental and training others to be so.

Well I passed my Higher grade chemistry and just missed out on my Higher grade physics. Got a couple more Higher grade subjects too but unfortunately just wasn't enough to get in to the course.
I blame the fact that I'd discovered boys and the pub by then on my failure to be earning lots of money by now doing something that I'd love confused

I wanted to be a paediatrician.
Now I just want to be a big kid
I wanted to be a famous archaeologist a bit like indian jones, loved going on "huge adventure's" (that were actually like a 10 minute bike ride away) and trying to steal apples from trees in people's gardens pretending it was treasure.
I have a big interest in history and all things not of this time, but alas, i am not indiana jones!!
My ambition now is to cage dive with Great White Sharks (capitals cos they RULE)
cool
Just remembered another one. Always wanted to swim with dolphins. I've not managed it yet but hopefully I'll get to do it sooner rather than later.
Oh yeah and as a very young girl, I wanted to be a pop star redface Trouble is, I'd need to learn to sing in tune first! lol
