and how many wish that some one would pop round one evening for a drink, but don`t like to ask?
Well, I bloody hate Christmas.
Except for the Christmas parties, otherwise you could cancel it as far as I'm concerned.
Mind you, I've got no kids, maybe it would be different if I had.
Love from Ebeneezer Cherrytree
and then it's down a chimney :giggle:
From down here i can se a couple of crackers he might like to pull :rascal:
yeah well looks like i'm on me own christmas day this year
I love the run upto christmas then it turns into a damp squib. It wll be worse this year as it is the first on with out mom as she did all the cooking we never bought anything in she made it all, Christmass puddings, Cake the lot. For me the sooner this year is gone the better.
I`ll be on my own too. The run upto Christmas will be quite nice but actual Christmas Day and boxing day will be spent home alone.
Like H-x says, it is awkward invading somebody elses family Christmas when they ask you round.
W now gets Winter Solstice off, I only manage a few days, this year it will include both the 25th and 26th. :bounce:
We will as normal lock are selves in and give each other one or two gifts, eat to much and look forward to W's New Year. Being Scottish she, we make something of that as well.
I prefer Christmas Eve to be honest - I like the relaxing warmth of the day, have done since being a kid. I like the traditional side of Christmas which seems to be disappearing year by year
I'm actually actively searching for a proper carol service to go to this year and I may take a few parcels to our local residential homes.
:bounce: tis nearly december :bounce:
I can't stand christmas!.
Can't sit auntie hilda next to uncle george because they had a row during the war, better get fred a present in case he gets us one, sending cards to people you don't like just to be nice, we should invite auntie ethel over because she's all on her own(the reason she's on her own is because she's a misrible git!) etc etc.
This year i'm going to my sisters for crimbo dinner, but I have told her and the rest of the family unless they tell me exactly what they want for a present, the won't get bugger all.
I cannot see the point of buying someone a crimbo present if your not 100% sure they want it.
Season's greeting's to you all!!!
go 4 it Louise......
shops have been bugging peeps with xmas forever....
and I still got a mail(male) sack waiting 4 a stocking filler.....
There's a house near us that has their tree and lights up already... seriously  !
