Did it have the lad out of oliver twist in it???? (was it artful dodger?) If so I can remember it biggrin
Talking abot classic programmes, its amazing how The Wombles got banned for being racist. It was actually taken off the screen becasue it did not have a black womble in it lol
Its back now and it has a black womble so its polically correct lol
Also, does anyone remeber Pob!

bloody hell... this country is too politically correct
yep! you might want to get rid of that blackboard in case someone takes offence!
i used to like Mr Benn too, but he always seemed to go on Safari a lot .. or did I only ever see the same one over and over?
I watched tely on my Gran's 14 inch Bush-(yes, I know, you can't say that these days without someone asking where she kept the aerial!!-but in those days a bush was either a green leafy thing in which is was wise to have two birds to equal one in the hand, a baby President or a small television set) Anyway, it only worked intermittently and skipped about from channel to channel, which got me a little confused at times. Hence, my favourite programme was
Mr Ed Wonderhorse the Champion Kangaroo Bush....great it was.
I loved 'F' Troop, Gilligan's Isle, Whiplash, Branded, Bonanza, Robinson Crusoe, Mystery and Imagination (Saturday night, after MOTD-scared me to death).
When my children came along-(got home from work one day and there they were! Lord knows where they came from)-I loved to sit and watch Mr Ben (probably all the dressing up). and Pigeon Street (I was in love with the lorry driving lady-what was her name?)
Yep, lovely memories, I still can't look at any animal without imagining Johnny Morris' s voice eminating from it's mouth!
my sister's a teacher - and her classroom has a whiteboard and a blackboard now! The theme tune to Roobarb and Custard still rocks

Kenneth Williams ! All the voices, afaik smile Not an obvious choice for kids' telly
Thank god lilacgem, yes it did have Jack Wild in it. Mr CCR says the villain of the show was a witch called 'Wicthiepoo', she used to ride a jet propelled broom with a side car and a vulture in it.
CCRxxx
i dont remember ANY of these!!

You are totally correct there JJ, but Kenneth Williams was a superb choice! I loved it when he read Jackanory - so full of expression! So what if he was a suicidally depressed, homosexual, virgin, who lived with his mum all his life... he was brilliant!
Mavis was the fat fairy in Willo The Wisp. Arthur was the catterpillar, the dog thing was called The Moog, the cat was called Carstairs, I think.

lol
Nope, I was much too young to watch any of this. ( lol ) My generation was more into this guy in bondage gear:

I had a lot of the figures too, despite the very obvious fact that they were all the same figure with a different paint-job. Either that or there was some serious
steroids in the water supply on Eternia...

stiiff horrible duffle coats that you couldn't move your arms in so they stuck out like you still had the coat-hanger in. And when it rained, they reeked!!
I think by the time Batfink came ion our screens, I had a Parka. Used to zip it up and then it got stuck and no one would unfasten it for you lol
was it one of those navy blue parkas with the orange lining and grey fur round the hood????????
i hated mine! was a hand me dow from my MALE cousin too!
god i was a deprived child! lol
