I've been watching a few cams recently and am surprised by the lack of use of condoms I have seen in group situations in particular - each to their own and all that jazz but here's a stark reminder of all the nasty little germs, viruses, bacterial infections that we run the risk of catching whilst engaging in unprotected sex ;)
I borrowed this from another SH Forum Post ;)
What is an STI?
An STI (formerly called an STD) is an infection that can be passed from one person to another through sexual intercourse (vaginal, anal or oral). What types of STIs are there?
The most common STIs are as follows :
Chlamydia
Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. If left untreated, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease (P.I.D.) in women which can result in infertility, chronic pelvic pain and ectopic pregnancies. It is known as the 'silent disease' as up to 75% of women and 50% of men can have no symptoms at all. Common symptoms include abnormal vaginal discharge, pain on passing urine, pelvic pain, pain during intercourse, irregular vaginal bleeding. Testing can be done on a urine sample or by taking a swab from the cervix and it is easily treatable with antibiotics.
Anogenital Warts
Warts are a very common sexually transmitted infection. They present usually as non- painful lumps anywhere on the genital area and are caused by the HPV virus. This virus can live in the body for many years and people can carry the virus and not know it. Different strains of the virus can cause either external warts or cervical cancer/pre-cancerous cells. Although there is no cure for HPV, there are treatments for external warts including cryotherapy ('freezing treatment')
Gonorrhoea
Gonorrhoea is a bacterial infection in the genital area which can cause vaginal discharge, pelvic pain, penile discharge or pain on passing urine. Like Chlamydia, it can have no symptoms at all and cause pelvic inflammatory disease (P.I.D.) which in turn can lead to infertility, chronic pelvic pain and infertility. Testing can be done on a urine sample or by taking a swab. If diagnosed, it ican be cured with antibiotics but is becoming increasingly resistant to treatment.
Genital Herpes
Genital herpes is a viral infection which is easily transmitted from person to person. It is caused by the herpes simplex virus which can live around the lips or mouth causing 'cold-sores', or in the genital area causing genital herpes. It causes ulcerated, often painful lesions/blisters around the genital area. Diagnosis is made by visual inspection or by taking a swab. There is no cure for genital herpes but out-breaks can be treated with anti-viral medications.
H.I.V. (Human Immunodeficiency Virus)
H.I.V. is a virus that can cause Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (A.I.D.S.). It can be transmitted by sexual intercourse and stays in the body for life, attacking your immune system so that you are unable to fight infections. It is diagnosed by a blood test and requires life-long treatment and monitoring.
Syphilis
Syphilis is transmitted by direct contact with a syphilis sore or lesion and is caused by the bacterium treponema pallidum. Ulcers can be found in the genital area and also in the mouth/around the lips. There are 3 stages of the disease and it develops over years. If treated with antibiotics in the early stage it can be cured. It is diagnosed on a simple blood test but if left untreated, it can spread in the bloodstream and cause many problems in different parts of the body.
Trichomoniasis
Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection that can cause vaginal discharge in women and discharge from the penis in men. It is often without symptoms but can be passed from person to person during sexual contact. It is easily treatable with antibiotics.
Hepatitis B
Hepatitis B is a viral infection that can be transmitted by sexual intercourse and can cause inflammation of the liver. It can also be transmitted by sharing needles for drug use, from a mother to her baby and from tattoos with unsterilised tools. It usually has no symptoms but can cause serious liver disease. Diagnosis is by a blood test.
Pubic Lice
Pubic lice are tiny insects that live on the hair in the pubic area. They attach strongly to the hair and are not removed by normal washing or brushing. The main symptom is itch and they can be passed on by close genital contact. Treatment is with a specialized cream or lotion.
Some infections in the genital area are not classed as STIs –
Thrush
Molluscum Contagiosum
Scabies
Bacterial Vaginosis
Please feel free to correct any of the above
Be a Clever Dick - use protection :rascal:
just avoid anyone who has bareback or cum on pussy pics on profiles.
ive heard it all before 'thats my regular playmate' etc etc.
makes no difference to me. if i see it i avoid.
Hear hear!
I am sick to the back teeth of guys telling me that they are safe, don't have any nasties, hate the smell of burning rubber, they are allergic to condoms, blah blah blinking Blah.....I'm allergic to their BS!
This is one reason why I point blank refuse to meet multiple guys and I do stick with one regular guy at the mo and I am regularly tested. After all accidents do happen. I'm not prepared to risk my own or anyone else's health for the sake of a shag
The most frequent client of the gay/bi prostitute (or any prostitute probably) is a married man; and the person who is most likely to request, from said prostitute, bareback sex, is the married man.
Fortunately, most prostitutes won't oblige, especially the girls, but when it comes to him wanting his bum fucked then sometimes who knows?
I think it just shows how disrespectful some people are unfortunately evil
Allergic to latex???? Use latex free condoms *shrugs shoulders*
I went to meet someone a few months back and i had taken condoms with me anyway, but he hadn't even thought about bringing any... needless to say I didn't stay, he said 'i didn't think you'd want to use them' like you say kat, totally disrespectful.
And why do married meant think it is ok to expect fems on here to not want to use protection? Is it because they see it as extra naughty (i won't get on my soap box about married men looking for the extra marital in secret)
Hi,
I'll give you my thoughts from my perspective as a married man.
C & me no longer use condoms when alone together as we have been together for 15 years, have been faithful to one another, etc.
We would not consider playing with anyone else, or being in the company of anyone else, without using condoms and that means all involved including me with C. It's double standards and disrespectful for us to expect to play without but expect others to have to use them to play with us, so the simplest way is for all to use at all times or don't expect to get anywhere with us.
Just our opinions,
N ( & C)
N&C if only everyone had the same outlook as yourselves ;)
i wear em.
a balaclava i mean. because im so ugly its the only way i can get a shag.
Also, all the above STI's except pubic lice, will affect all membrane areas of the body. That includes the mouth. So I presume those that practice safe sex also use dental dams when performing oral.
In fact Oral sex is more risky than genital, as its usually the case before you get down and dirty, that you have brushed your teeth. Brushing along the gum line causes small abrasions which will allow all the nasties in.

Maybe it's a case of being more selective and limit the risk by choosing to play with those whose teeth live in a glass by the side of their beds? First thing I check is that
Checklist
1: Choppers are in a glass
2: BP Tablets have been taken
3: Tena Pad is freshly changed.
Well yes it is well known that gums who benefit from rubbing my dentures become hard..and thereby also increasing the effectiveness of a good suck...
Is that what you were alluding to in an earlier thread Toots about your sucking and your use of dentures...

This just about sums it up for us too!
If people want to practice unsafe sex then suppose they are within there rights but it is definitely not for us. I wonder if they appreciate what the risks are and if the NHS wasn't about to pick up the pieces if it all went septic, would they still do it.
I remember the HIV public information films of the early 1980's! A lot of what was in those films is relevant today. It's not just HIV but as listed, a whole lot of other nasties. They made an impression on me and put the fear of god into this, then relatively young bi sexual male.
If you even question putting a welly boot on it, we aren't coming out to play! Be safe, be sensible and be healthy.

Bumping as some seem to have forgotten golden rule to staying safe and respecting yours and any prospective partners health and life.
If you are too tight to buy condoms go to your local clinic get a check and ask for some smile
