I've just read through Losty's prolific output from last night, inspired it would seem by sleeplessnessand on each post am reminded of his love of coffee. Coincidence?
I like my coffee strong, black and plentiful but if I have it later on in the evening it certainly disrupts my sleep. Does it have the same effect on others?
I, too, drink coffee strong and black, and probably too many times in a day. I usually stop drinking coffee during the afternoon though, rarely in the evening. My sleep patterns are erratic but not usually to the point of getting up and posting threads on here. Maybe the caffeine stays in my system longer than I thought.
It seems to have no effect on my sleep pattern (what sleep pattern lol?) either way!
i haven't had builders tea or coffee for about 2 years now. But i have recently taken to turkish tea, which is basically indian tea. Along with other canned drinks I still have an intake of caffeine. Which I am going to try reducing further again.
But its made a real difference to my general daily routine. Taking less of the caffeine drinks, has levelled out my energy, and I don't feel like I am controlled by it so much.
I can go to bed and sleep have just had a coffee, the truth is I drink it all day. Perhaps to much.
Coffee usually found in a jar in the cupboard.
For myself I'd leave it there. Cannot stand the stuff, however I do suffer a mug a day at weekend at 11 o'clock as it has become a domestic ritual.
On occasion when I'm out I have visited the odd commercial coffee shop. I find the coffee far too strong for my taste, dehydrating and I usually have to find a bottle of water. Incidentally research claims that the chemicals in plastic bottles has a similar effect to estragine (spelt wrong, female hormone, can't find it in my dictionary) so watch out chaps, think it might explain the moobs
That said though many years ago I was living in Weston super Mare and there was a coffee shop there that roasted and ground it's own coffee, and we would visit on a saturday and chose a different coffee each week. A very enjoyable way to drink coffee and socialise. Ahh happy days.
Since moving north there is a deli in my town that roasts and grinds its own coffee and have had many a pleasant mug of coffee, a solitary pleasure these days but pleasant none the less.
Thanks to strong coffee in resturants I have seen some of the most shit TV in the world. YEP, nighttime telly, its pants espicially if you want to sleep but your eyes wont shut and your brain wont slow down.
Coffee and tea are nasty evil stuff.
YUK!
