please guys and girls get this one dealt with, otherwise we could all have problems
A new critical security vulnerability has been discovered by Microsoft that could enable software viewing JPEG image files (.JPG) to launch malicious code on a user's computer. The security hole could be exploited by hackers or a future internet worm.
please go to

While it is a potential security loop hole it has so far not been exploited, mainly it just causes IE (or other applications that use the same DLL's) to crash.
It also only a problem if you encounter a bad jpeg graphic... so you'd need to go to a site or download/send the jpeg so that it was viewed on the PC so probably wont affect many people unless they can make it use a payload.
Anyone with 2000 or XP will already have had it as an windows auto update (if you have updates turned on)
