We have an ad running on another site and even though we have explained at length what we are looking for, we still get dickheads responding with one or two liners that show they haven't read our ad properly.
We are very new to all this and have only had one experience so far (MMF), and after your post we consider ourselves extremely lucky that we haven't had any problems....... we feel for what you have been through, and are glad it didn't put you off entirely, so welcome back :!: .
Moving forward we are thinking that the best way to meet people is to try and get accepted by communities such as this, and hopefully get to go to munches, so we can meet people socially before we do anything else. We have thought of clubs but at the end of the day the old git (him as in me) isn't really into clubs, although she is trying to change my mind :undecided:

Wow, thanks guys, unfortunately we live out in the jungle of England, you know the place that everyone drives through to get somewhere nicer …lol… hell we still have people in white robes picking mistletoe and dancing naked around big stones. We even have red phone boxes (ok so I made that bit up)
There are never any munches near here, the nearest one we know of so far (that we almost got to) was an 8 hour round trip and with our family commitments, and our financial situation, its just not possible, so we have to depend on entertaining at home, I guess that makes us kind of vulnerable but we are not going to let it put us off..
This old gitt isn’t into clubs either, as we like our privacy.
Joining a community like this one is a fantastic idea, but you still need to keep your whit’s about you.
Personally I think that patience will pay off in the end, and we will all find what we desire.
