You have me a bit worried here, you should still be able to have kids in teh future using teh depo injection... or is there something my doctor isnt telling me???
arn't the inplants the 5 year things?
Yep.. but going back to uni next year so am not planning another for about 5yrs. Also they can be taken out before the 5 yrs is up. The IUS is a 3 yr one so if I went for that I would probably have to have another one fitted to 'last' me until I was ready to start trying again.
Hi the hormone releasing coil last for five years and is not as painful to have removed as the implant hope this helps
Mrs Bunny xx
yes i have that same coil, (well not yours mrs bunny ) no periods, no side effects, and lasts 5 years.
Friends i know have had the implants and have found on removal periods have taken anywhere between 2 months to well still waiting and been 18mths.
Thought it was advisable to wait one year after comming off contraception of this kind before conciving anyhow?

I had the coil fitted in Dec and had it removed on Wednesday I'm off to the docs in a bit though as I'm haemorraging from it
The Mirena hurts a bit being fitted but not when it's removed, and for those it works for it's brilliant.
