We have seen a significant increase in our mail recently of the male half of a 'couple' contacting us to meet with us. Very rarely is the female half mentioned or even referenced in relation to him meeting on his own.
We have been on here long enough to know that there are a number of fake profiles around and that relationships can come and go. Sometimes there is reference to a split but the couples profile, often with pictures of her, still exists. We know that people will say just report but we have done that to no avail. And can't believe many haven't been reported before because they are so blatantly just a guy. What to do?
Our only light relief in this field is when it says we only meet as a couple on the profile!

You can press the report profile button, give us some info and we will investigate.
Sometimes there are genuine reasons for the male half of the couple to be doing the online stuff, sometimes it is clear that it isn't a couple and we get that sorted.
Just give us a shout and we'll do what we can.
However, more generally speaking, when meeting a couple the advice is obviously to speak to all parties etc before meeting.
Do let us know though, as Mods we do our best to weed out the misleading profiles but we can't spot them all without folk reporting them.

You can Image Verify your account quite easily with a photo showing both of you holding up a hand written sign with the requested details and code. It doesn't have to be a face photo (although we will need to be sure it's a man and a woman) but the photo is only seen by the moderator who verifies it so you don't need to worry. Once we've verified it the photo vanishes into the ether.
