Something I have noticed here but nowhere else, We have several couples that use the forum regular, and some that have sadly left sad
But what I really enjoy and find so refreshing is the online banter between couples, to me that shows a sign of togetherness and trust. I have no intention of naming as i'm sure its obvious, I just love reading it. cool

See, I don't think cliques are a bad thing and yes, they do exist on here. Of course they do - they exist everywhere else, so why not here?

There are certain thread subjects that I avoid posting in because they annoy me, but I could start posting things along the lines of

What would be the point ??? It would upset people for no reason and create an enviroment of hostility and mistrust.

People are always going on about the "Community" in here. I think that the word, community, suggests an inclusive and friendly place.

IMO, "community" is just a nice spin on "clique". :wink:
I like to see banter on here, regardless of who it is, but not to the exclusion of others. You know - private jokes etc, but that's life so I accept it and move onto a different thread. Sometime later, I might look at my own posts and realise I've done the exact same thing as the people I've mentally criticised! redface
The main thing I can't abide is fluffy wuffy luvvy duvvy shite. Makes me puke. lol
Back to the OP - you should come on the NE chatroom of you want to see real banter between couples. My god, it's a wonder most of 'em ain't killed each other yet! :lol:

I do agree with what flower says, as it can be hard, nerve wracking as a newbie when you want to join in but struggle to join in as you feel yr not part of it, if ya get what i mean biggrin

yes i love the banter. the thing is you have to know the peeps often before you can do it,plus if you have been there company where something has happened or said makes it easy to do. i just been to trys cov. social didnt know anyone went on my own. now im im old and decrecpide i have the convedence to go to such a do. think lot of youngsters cant bring themselves to do this. also with age things have happened and things you have done are in your memory bank to use in banter. i do fine that some days the banter can flow easily. other days im dead in the water so to speak. also the instant type of banter you need a foil and there are hard to find. worked with a good one once and when ever we worked along side each other within moments we were off on one this of course spread though out the work place so by break time the place was bussing. looking back we can see these were grt. times. so yes its clicky but we have to push ourselves to meet the one to get the banter. love it want it so i push to get it. dont i go on sorry peeps

I think the banter between couple's is great to read too.
It does amaze me though how these sort of subject's always end up with someone calling them cliquey rolleyes
Cliquey, friendly, call it want you want but if you dont like it, then dont read it.
If your new and your nervous about joining in the " cliquey banter" dont worry, just post away and the more you post, the more people get to know you and the easier it will be. We were all new once wink

I understand in what you are saying flower and I too do not like making the newcomers feel uncomfortable, we were all newbies once and we need many more people in here to make this forum even more fun.
But thats not what I meant when I started this thread Sassy hit the nail on the head exactly, but is saying that you and i have some banter at times which i find funny. biggrin
