In need of a quick but substantial tea, I decided bangers and mash was the way to go. However, having accidentaly adding too much hot water to my Smash, it now appears I have potatoe and gravy soup with a couple of sausages chucked in for good measure. :uhoh:
Have you ever dropped a clanger in the kitchen?
Not again, did you not have pizza and plastic the other week? lol

lol You need the industrial smash, it is a powder so easier to add to potato soup to recover the 'mash'... when linked with a hand blender ;)

Brought by SarcySue on route home, yup smile Can't mess that up...
Biggest disaster?
Attempted a recipie from a magazine for duck in a grapefruit sauce - I know, it sounds stupid now but it DID say that it was a piquant sauce and it was a good magazine. Recipie said I needed pink, Florida grapefruit plus the juise of 12 pink grapefruit so off to local Asda and surprise surpsise there were no Florida grapefruit.
So McC does the obvious (to me! lol ) and used normal grapefruit plus a litre of fresh grapefruit juice.
The end result of course was a sauce so bitter that it would strip the internal coating off an industrial chemical tank and we had four people waiting for an evening meal.
Situation resolved (partially) by adding copious ammounts of sweet liquours.
McC
you would be surprised.
have woken up twice with my face welded to a KFC.
