Day or Night - is it?

I was feeling rather groggy (actually groggy and horny) when I arrived home today after a long drive back from where ever it was I stayed last night - so I went for a lay down on the bed to have a bit of a lady-wank.
I think it was sometime around 5pm. Any-hootie, I nodded off and woke-up again at 8. The thing was - it took me 30 minutes to establish whether it was 8am or 8pm. In my even more groggy state it all seemed confusing and my body clock was convinced it was morning - probably because I very, very, very rarely nap in the day unless I am ill.
Eventually, I switched on the telly to see what was on and worked it out from there (yes I know it says on my phone whether it is am/pm - didn't you listen - I was groggy).
For a short time I really was convinced it was morning and the realisation that it wasn't was quite disorientating.
Has anyone had a similar experience but gone on to do something thinking it was day instead of evening or vice versa?
just now... well about half an hour or so ago....
i got up after 2 hr snooze , couldnt fathom where the feck i was..... stumbled down the stairs and sat in the dark on the sofa feeling kinda strange....
had a coffee and a smoke... and realised it was still today.......after complaining out loud to whoever is in charge that it is raining again today...
the worst thing is though that the dream i was havin wasnt true...
mad

PL!! You crack me up!
Anyway.. yes this happened to me too. Several years ago I was up til around 6am writing music when I finally crashed into bed. It was winter so when I went to bed it was dark and when I woke up at around 5pm it was pitch black and I honestly thought is was early morning for ages and when it finally dawned on me it was such a trange feeling - I just stumbled around all confused! Nothing new I hear ya say!
biggrin
yep I worked a stupid amount of hours got home one Saturday afternoon lay down to have a nap having set the alarm for 7;30 as I was going out. The alarm went off up I got showered got dressed in to my work clothes went down stairs jumped in the car and only then did I realise I wasn't meant to be on my way work as it was 8|:00 Saturday night redface
Not happened to me personally, but I remember going to a works black tie do when we all went out for a few drinks in the afternoon. We got back to the hotel where the function was and we were all staying for the night and agreed to meet in the bar at 7:30.
The evening went well - though we did notice that one of our number was missing. When he showed up next morning there were a few giggles until someone said, "Nice to see you Stan. Why are you wearing your dinner jacket down to breakfast?"
He had slept right through, woken up at about 7 (not realising it was am and not pm), showered, got dressed for dinner and came down to join us. rotflmao

No, and I can't believe you did either. Razors don't cut so coarse!
When working night shift i hated going to bed on Fridays until one Friday when i stayed up all day and wend to bed at 11pm i didnt wake untill 5 pm on Saturday and got up thinking i had all day to do what i wanted for the suden relisation more than half the day was gone and it buggered the rest of my weekend up aswell with the constant napping.
Yes, I had this once too.
Was a while ago, I can't remember the circumstances exactly, but I woke up at about 7 and got as far as putting my work clothes on before realizing it was 7pm.
Great! I thought, another 13 hours before I have to be at work biggrin
Oh dear this is scarily familiar ( not the lady wank bit).
Many a time I crashed out on my pit in Germany for a snooze only to wake up in exactly the same quandry. Barracks deathly still, was it or If I was in the poo big time having missed parade, if I still had a whole evening to kill.
Its a horrible process to go through, very dissorientating.
On anothe occassion a few years later my Ex gave me a terrible dig because I was snoring, Bails out of bed gets dressed and drives to work....only to find its only and I dont start till 0600.
banghead
This happens to me all the time. I have to keep checking the calender to see what DAY it is let alone the time rolleyes It usually takes me about 10 minutes to come around and decide whether it's am or pm. Working nights sure buggers up my body clock. confused
lady wank indeed  :giggle:
Some years ago... I had worked for four straight days and nights. No sleep at all.
I gothome late Friday evening , went to bed and woke up , still dark. Could not work out where I was , but thought it must be Saturday morning... Wrong , twas Sunday morning!!!!
Paul
When I was truck driving, well I am again but I mean on distance away from home all week I used to wake up in the mornings and because it was a differant place every time it used to take a good 10 minutes or untill I drew back the curtains to work out where I actually was in the country or even at times what country I actually was in
Yep did the same thing a few weeks ago............. fell asleep at 6pm, woke up at 9pm, had no idea whether it was 9 in the morning or 9 at night..... walked round the house all confused, couldn't understand what was being said on telly, tried to work it out from the state of the outside environment but couldn't..... so went back to sleep........ woke up at the next morn, still confused and thinking I had only been asleep 15 mins.........
FLucking scary lol
When i worked all the hours and then used to party a lot (yes yes a few years ago now) about once a month this used to happen to me.
I used to crash on a Saturday afternoon and wake up on Sunday night, get dressed, go down the pub and wonder why people were complaning about going to work the following day.
Not sure about anybody else, but similar stuff goes on when I drive. If for instance I go on a long drive, say Bournemouth to Manchester, I could arrive at Manchester and think - what happened to Birmingham and would have no recollection about driving passed it whatsoever. dunno
Now forgetting where you are in the morning, yep, I do that as well. Quite fortunately most hotel rooms are all the same so finding the loo first thing whilst the brain is not yet engaged is not normally a problem. That was untill one day when I stayed in a stately home, woke up still groggy from the night before, opened the veranda door and promptly took a piss over the balcony and went back to bed. :embarrased:

Just drove back from Monte Carlo and as soon as landed back on a British motorway all recollections of the wonderful French roads were forgotten.
God we are so uncivilised over here.
Give me a BMW 316 and I will take over the world - at least everyone else in front of me...

I did shift work once . 8pm to 8am. Hardest thing was going to bed , getting up and its still the same day ! having "breakfast" watching the news and getting paranoid as having a vague idea that...I have heard that news item before? omg I can predict the future ! (having heard the breaking story on early morning tv before "going to bed" )
also living in a twilight world where I was not sure if sun was rising or setting ! and not knowing for sure what "day" it actually was !
Oh one other thing, is it just me or... when those semi mechanical/digital clocks at railway stations, read 00:00 it freaks me out !
