Every sympathy! I thought my nick was obviously girly. I still get asked in the chatroom am I 'm or f'? I'm often tempted to reply with 's' for Sappho or 'h' for hermaphrodite... but I think that would cause confusion!

Well Kriss, I must admit I had not worked out male / female for your nick as yet, and as a newbee I am not 100% sure from a few people's nicks who is male, or female, or even a couple (Hi Kit and Kat

Still I think the way for these people to avoid this sort of mistake would be not to PM someone who:
A. They don't know
B. Have not asked permission to do so or at least spoken to
Make their lives simpler in the long run, much sympathy for you single gals (or Guys being mistaken for Females), you must have to take a lot of junk...
