I noticed a shop appear in the city i live,it was selling lingerie shiffon silk etc,so i went to the shop there was a pair of pink panties in the window, the window also had 50% sale,i noticed the panties had something written on them,i asked the lady in the shop the price, she said silk chifon £40 i though that was ok,she said there was bridesmaid written on the panties ummm i said i didn't realy want to but them with that written on,she said we can have whatever you want on them for £20 more,ok i thought, she said anything in mind?, i said yes biggrin "slut" oh...... she said i don't think i could have them sent away and have that put on them,"it's derogatory" she said, what? but im a man i think derogatory thoughts when i see my wife in lingerie or any sexy woman come to that, but then again your a woman and you will always be in denial and said goodbye and left the shop,i wondered what would a woman expect! a man to be thinking? if she is dressed in lingerie,or....what would a woman want! a man to think?.
Not all women wear lingerie to please men, some actually wear it to please themselves and as there isnt the option to vote to this effect, I havent to what Id want a man to think would depend on the situation.
I think you may find your avatar isnt allowed on the forum but then my eyesight isnt all it should be either, apologises if Im wrong in what I think Im looking at lol
I'm not casting a vote either - the poll is too confusing. But yes, generally speaking, "slut" is regarded as a derogatory word.
its all about the context of it, dek can say it at different times of the day but il only take offence at a certain time or when it's being used in not the nicest way and if anyone else said it to me (that didnt know me and me them) i would take offence to,
and there isnt a choice for me to vote so i havent
Seeing as the word bridesmaid was written on the pants.
Could you not have got your biro out and done something just as 'classy'.

Hi FD.....
I'm a tad baffled. I (as a woman not in denial) would like to think that thoughts my husband/ lovers have of me would not be derogatory. "I'd like to make love to you" or "You look really sexy- I'm going to ravage you" etc are not derogatory, but complimentary.
If/ when I'm acting as a slut, I get called one....then that's not derogatory- unless it's said to be spiteful.
I wouldn't go near a bloke who would think derogatory thoughts about me in that way. It's disrespectful.
WW
I agree WW.
A man whose thoughts about women in silk chiffon or any other fabric come to that are derogatory is hardly likely to get near enough to me ever to see my lingerie!
:welcome: to the forum feelingdirty
If in your eyes all women that wear lingerie are sluts then so be it. If your wife/playmates are happy with that then so be it. Just make sure the person receiving those words is comfortable being called it.
It's as said above, not every woman wear's lingerie to act/be a slut. Some women wear it to make themselves feel good or maybe they just wear it as an everyday thing.
To be honest Ive just ordered something off a web shop to make me feel a little slutty redface but only with Joe.
I don't mind being called a slut in the right way ( eg in the throws of passion etc) but if you saw me ( and did'nt faint lol )in my lingerie and called me a slut just because I was wearing it im afraid id have a few harsh words for you/and anyone else that did say it confused

... "then again your a woman and you will always be in denial"

That is derogatory. It is also both incorrect and stupid. Slut can be derogatory or not, depending on who is saying it to whom and in what way.
Hopefully females who object to being thought of the way you obviously think of women will be warned by your post to steer well clear of you.
this ones gonna cause you some problems fella!!!
maybe me too..........
and i do think a few women are in denial....not all though.
personally, in the context of a lingerie shop selling items of lingerie, with words written on...i think putting "slut" on a pair of panties is quite a cool idea. whats the difference to a woman dressing up in a "slutty" way??? none, i say....
i think the problem would lie with making/expecting a women to wear them if she wasnt too impressed.
now.......... with regards to this denial bit.... maybe you could have phrased it a little better... but i have to agree wih you in a way..... men MUST , WILL, and DO think of women in this way when it comes down to sex..... the sluttier and ruder the better in alot of cases.
the fact that some find this impossible to accept futher highlights the "denial"....
so , what i would say before you all flame this bloke is............... hes a bloke and therefore is in a better position to answer questions on what blokes actually think...

I'm not flaming anyone- but-
hes a bloke and therefore is in a better position to answer questions on what blokes actually think...
I'm a little perplexed by this too.
Do you believe that all blokes think the way you do, all the time?
Certainly, most guy's eyes are hotwired to their groins lol However, for the most part their brains remain in charge.

when I first read it I thought that the poster didn`t understand the meaning of the word "derogatory".

I hope you're right - otherwise it's all a bit Misogynists R Us.
Fuck me! I have never thought of my wife as a slut ever!! I object whole heartedly to the notion that I think of her or need to think of her in that way. J has done some incredibly sexy. horny downright rude things with others while I looked on thinking oh god thats wonderful.
I have to put effort into using words such as 'slut' when I do as it comes so unnaturally. it is then scenario specific and remains in that situation and only for then. When I see a woman dressed in great gear lingerie leather, PVC, a nice exec suit, whatever. I dont think 'slut! I think phwooooaaarrrrr nice effort thank you for turning me on girl looking good.
My girl never has been, never will be a slut. And i hope that we heve never met or will never swingingly meet someone who instinctively thinks that of her.
As for having stuff such as that written on underwear its there for titillation not as a serious representaion of the person whose going to wera it.
My daughter has a top which says 'Yes i am a bitch, just not your bitch' Well she isn't a bitch full stop. but its a fun top. I seriously hope and expect people to take it that way.
BTW - wave welcome to forum.

I certainly wouldn't want a man to look at me and think derogatory thoughts. confused Do you actually know the meaning of the word? If you do, then as Unc said, your post will serve as a warning to women to steer clear of you. If you don't, consult a dictionary for the definition of 'derogatory' and have another think about what you've said.
Ok so would I enjoy my hubby calling me a slut? The answer is yes. Used in the right context, with the right person (hubby in my case) and in the right roleplay situation then its a huge turn on. Especially when said in the very sexy posh voice that he has
Would I be offended if he called me a slut in any other situation? The answer is yes. If used in a derogatory way as a way of venting anger or annoyance towards me then of course I would be offended.
He doesnt by the way and has never used it out of place as he has a huge amount of respect for me and, indeed, for all women.
Anyone else using the word towards me, either in a sexual or non sexual way would be hung drawn and quartered! That is just not acceptable in my view.

So in your parallel universe, you consider disagreeing with the steaming pile of nonsense above to be proof your purely personal opinion is in fact correct? Nice try but no cigar.
While undoubtedly some 'men' think this way, certainly not all do so I'll thank you not to weigh your toffee on my scales, as my dear old granny used to say.

I wouldn't of been so bold as to put it in such a way, but yes I agree with Unc. I am a man DeeCee. though not one of 'all' the men you seem to have posted about. I'm sure that on re-reading you probably just phrased it wrong fella.

Feeling dirty- are you a politician by any chance? Read Unc's comments if you're bemused as to why I'm asking.

Not sure I am going to add anything new to this - but I had to reply to add weight to the view that all men do NOT think of women as sluts!
I find it hard to think of slut as anything other than derogatory. I can see how it might be used in role play between two people having fun though, even then, I don't think I could bring myself to use it.
To echo Lost, when I see a woman dressed attractively (lingerie or even just a nice outfit) I certainly think 'phwooarrr' and I find it a huge turn on. Am I thinking of her sexually? Absolutely! Do I think of her as a 'slut'? Certainly not!! evil. I think "Wow, what a gorgeous, attractive and sexy woman." I hope that would be seen as complimentary.
Perhaps it's just me, but I think of 'slut' as implying that the woman is a worthless piece of meat simply there for the taking. A view that I find totally abhorrent!
