Hope I'm on the best forum for this sensitive subject.
Anybody (males) with diabetes, either type, have any erection probs? Anyone got any answers besides the 'blue' pill which doesn't always work? Any suggestions welcome but tried the lollypop sticks and elastic band!!!
i believe some types of cock rings can help but only really work if you can get it up at all.... your best bet is to go to your gp where they can assess you properly and can recommend other methods that may be more useful or the diabetes website am sure will have some far better informed advice specifically for diabetic sufferers.
dont be embarrassed as this is as common a condition as eye problems and general circulation conditions
common prob in diabetes especially if u taking bete blockers for high blood pressure. Try and control your diabetes it helps.
talk to your GP or diabetic nurse specialist.

Are you a type 1 or type 2 diabetic?
Probably helpful to minimise the need for external medication by reducing the factors that worsen the condition.
I know you'll have heard these already - optimise weight, excercise regularly, be scrupulous with existing medication especially timings, etc.
In addition - I've heard excellent reports about cutting out ALL processed foods, absolutely no white sugar, white bread, alcohol (the ultimate in processing I suppose). Plenty of raw foods and such like. It is supposed to reduce the need for medication significantly - reducing the associated side-effects.
Hope you get whare you want to be. xx
Thanks for the advice everyone. Tablet diabetic and gone about as far as poss with doctor etc. Plenty of expensive herbal 'cures' on sale but do any of them work....or even help? Tried Lib****...helps a bit but not the answer.
Just to add to what foxy advised ... I was able to cut my meds from 3000mg of metformin a day to zero within months by cutting out all refined carbs. Helped me lose some weight too - win win!
I shared your problem as an undiagnosed diagnosis I have found the meds(metaformin) and change of diet have made a tremendous difference to me initially.
From what little I have learnt so far I am inclined to agree with the others that diet is the all important factor in controlling the too plays a very important part in moderating your glucose levels
Should I ever get lucky enough I will probably avail myself of the free viagra too
Alas I cannot give the beer up totally and I allow myself 5 or 6 pints over the weekend.
im a diabetic have been since 2000. i dont currently have any problems but i think the nhs diabetes team are now very well aware of the erectile problems we all seem to face lol . every time i see my diabetes nurse or consultant im asked if i have any problems in this department . i think our nhs has made giant strides in treatment of diabetes and we should mention the good of our nhs aswell as the bad . i cant complain about the diabetes care ive received in fact i cant praise them enough . if your having erectile problems speak to them about it you wont be the 1st n certainly wont be the last smile
