small regular meals and excersise. Eat what ya like but eat it in moderation. I ain't an expert not gunna pretend i am, but i have lost about 3 stone in as many months( having said that I did go from being pretty much sedentary to using a gym 5 or 6 times a week).
Mar in support of you diet plan I know of two groups of rats. Both groups have the same amount to eat. One group can eat when they like, the food never being removed. The other have food three times a day for half an hour. The last group is the fattest.
So eat a little and often.
Try green tea, apparently it increases your metabolic rate without the ill effects of caffiene or freezing water.

Bloody hell, well done to Naughtynympho, Sexkitten and Razorwire.
Green tea has lots of health benefits, but as the man said they can be very different. I can't stand Twinings- but really quite like asda's. However, I don't like to drink it hot, I find it tastes much nicer when it's really cool. Never let it over stew though- see how long it says on the label.
mrs A has been following weight watchers and has dropped 4 stone this year. she is fit and healthy so make sure any diet you follow is a healthy one rather than try a 'quick fix'
I did well and lost just over 2 stone this last year or so. I've been on holiday and fantastically gained only 1 lb (woohoo).
I'm just about to embark on phase 2 and lose another 2 stone (I find I work best on that basis).
Starting eating sensibly again (porridge for brekkie), light lunch and a decent veg/meat dinner.
Drinking loads of water and fruit for hunger pangs/snacks.
I'm also rejoining the local gym and intend to go 3 times a week after work (thankfully over the road).
I'll keep you posted but I'm determined to be a skinny minny by Christmas.

Im not a dietitian or doctor but being into competitive bodybuilding I know a few things about dieting.
The main point is this.
What works for one person will NOT work for another!!!!
And most importantly.....
if you are happy with the way you are, generally fit and well and are not within dangerous weight limits for your BMI then unless you are really committed DONT DO IT!!
The psychological effects on your emotional happiness and the commitment needed sometimes aren't worth the struggle.
Here goes.......
There are different samatotypes : ectomorphic (naturally very little bodyfat and with little lean
muscle)
Mesomorphic(naturally muscular small to medium bodyfat)
and Endomorphic (shorter people USUALLY with high percentage of badyfat)
People of each specific samatotype will all have to do something different to reach certain goals in weight - management.
There are also other related factors:
Biological (over active or under-active thyroid being the most common)
Activity levels
Job
Stress Levels
Time Availabilty (a really big one believe it or not)
And above all the most important one of all
Will Power vs Desire.
It is hard to lose weight properly and safely, do it too quickly and you will put yourself under serious strain and also inevitably put the weight back on when your body comes out of "crash mode"
The best advice I can give to the original poster without a proper assessment of their lifestyle, goals and other relevant stuff is this......
Don't skip meals, eat little and often but only a handful sized amount (it takes some getting used to but if you are determined enough it is the best way to control calories in, compared to calories used).
Eat sensibly and try to give yourself treat or cheat meals twice a week.
Instead of snacking on biscuits, cakes or crisps eat water based fruits like melon or apple or oranges and avoid fizzy drinks and tea and coffee for water.
I know this all sounds boring but it has to be done in order for weight to be lost.
Good Luck with it.
