Hi all, I know I don't post much, I tend to rectify that as soon as possible.
Anyways, a small insignificant question - What are the differences between a munch and a social, by the sounds of it, they are basically the same thing, just called different things, can someone please explain what those differences are, if not in public, then in a PM.
Okay, back to hiding in my corner until I have something else relevant to say.
(runs back into his corner)
A munch is asocial gathering of SH members in a neutral place. The rules for munches state amongst other things that only active members of the site can attend, i.e. no banned members. They are purely social and allow people to meet and chat. If at all possible munches will be held in a private function room, but this sometimes cannot happen for logistical reasons.
A social on the other hand is just that, Socials may not necessarily be exclusive to SH members, and the agenda is purely down to the organisers. A social could happen for instance in a Swingers club.
I think that covers it but no doubt I will be corrected
I don't think there is a strict definition written down anywhere, but I'd expect a munch to involve months of planning, have an attendance of over 40 people, and be held in a private room. A 'social' is less formal, probably involves less than 20 people, and dosn't have it's own private venue.
Will you stop bobbing up and down like that Mister discreet .. you're making me feel dizzy :uhoh:

To me a munch is a social purely for swinging heaven members, if you do a social anyone can go really, if you wanted to invite none swinging heaven people who you know then you can at a social but not to a munch.
