Hi folks,
I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem as myself with the distance calculator on this site. The last two meets I've had were calculated at 69 miles and 37 miles. After getting to my destination the first was 121 miles and the second being 83 miles. How is the distance worked out and from where to where? confused: surprised

Ohh admin like these sorts of questions lol
I would suggest that when making arrangements for meets, if distance does matter, to check out your location and where you are going on one of the distance finder / maps / streets type sites.
Or if you have a tomtom GPS, ask that as well.
cool
I imagine that the distance stated is as the crow flys rather than as the swinger swings. :swingingchair:
Living on one side of the Thames Estuary distances stated here of 10 miles mean a 20 mile drive to the Dartford crossing and then 20 miles the other side.
Thanks folks. The distance isn't an issue but my punctuality is and from this I have started to ask for the postcode so I can put it in sat nav.
Planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance!

Maybe I am just a figment of my imagination :dunno:
I'm just a time waster aren't I :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
We often find...
If we double the distance it says then take 10% of that its about right.
so 69 x 2 = 138 - 10% = aprox 124 mile total

I'm guessing it's taken from the edge of each of the post code areas. So unless both parties live on the nearest border of their post code, to each other (if that makes sense) they're always going to be a little flakey shall we say.
