Bought any good music lately? If so, share it with the rest of us. You can never have enough music in the world as far as I'm concerned and I'm always on the look out for new bands/singers to listen to. Here's mine
Paulo Nutini - These Streets.
I bought this cd on the back of hearing one track on an advert for this cd and By Jimini it's fab ! He's a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Scotland ( his Dad is Italian, hence the name ) and he's got a rather unusual voice, reminds me a little of John Martyn meets James Blunt, but with a little more cred than Blunt.
'Last Request' is possibly one of the most beautiful and heartfelt songs I've ever heard since Blunt's 'Goodbye my lover'
Buy it, play it til it hurst and enjoy the f*ck out of it !
Robbies new one is good rudebox am trying to work out which songs hes ripped off i know ones from the beastie boys
Listening to Paulo Nutini for the umpteenth time since | bought it, I now realise he reminds me of Paul Simon with his writing style. Not bad for a 10 year old ! biggrin

Also interchanging with Paolo is the new James Morrison album, its great and the Kooks - Inside/Outside. Favourite has gotta be Johnny Cash American V - his ill health clearly shows...but despite the frailty in his voice, the emotion of some of the tracks is potent. Most are covers, but still great. Track 4 - If you could read my mind - has me in tears every time.
I've got James Morrison last week too. The first track sounds so much like Terence Trent Darby singing. Excellent album, especially Wonderful World. James Blunt with balls
