Do People Meet Up

Hi
I have just arrived back to the UK having been living aborad for 2 yrs.
I am just wondering if people on here do meet up or just want to talk all day about sex.
I must be doing something wrong as im just finding that when i arrange some thing they are just time anyone else experience the same.

Is this a genuine question about meeting people or a rhetorical one to see if people would meet you to prove they do meet?
Because depending on your reply depends where this thread should be.

How do you know - they might conduct their private business in PM? If you've been away from the U.K., you're unlikely to have witnessed any 'no-shows', I'd have thought.

What im saying is that i have arranged a few and then they dont turn just seems having spoken with many that they have the same problem..Pleae dont get mad im only asking

Ro be fair this site has afforded us the best opportunities to swing. Ok, you get some crap, but where doesn't that happen? Some great times afforded on and off site through s-h for us. This of course is speaking as one half of a couple rather than a single member.

Sorry for sounding flippant but you've just come back to the UK and by all accounts really need to give things a little longer. wink

they do meet, have you thought the time wasters may may good reason to cancel/no show and one hell of alot of people are here for the banter of the site not just to meet
compare the stats of the amount of single males to the amount of couples and then again to the amount of single fems lol

it may go some way to help you understand
and ur profile is a little confusing imo anyway

Just a suggestion - according to your profile, you're straight but looking for both genders, whether bi, straight or gay - maybe you could edit it to say what you're seeking and clarify it a little.
Profile states your age as 40 but ad. says 38 - which are you?

It's not just you. I've been 'stood up' loads of times. It's annoying and frustrating and dis-heartening.
I've come to the conclusion that the best way is to only meet people you've also met socially, that's my take on it, I'm sure other people will have some better advice.

We use this philosophy as well. At least then you know your first meeting is without pressure of sex. And if the time wasters, which we have also experienced, don't turnup. Then the possibilities of them ever going further with you stop. We think that if someone/two/more are prepared to meet socially first thats a positive in itself.

now that`s a really good idea......
we`ve met loads of peeps off here...n not been stood up in ages....but then we pick n choose who we meet anyway...and meet for a drink n stuff first...
