There seems to be loads of profile on swinging heaven that now of people that haven't visited for ages (for people over 4/5 years, not a year or month). Do you agree it is time that these profile should be removed. The reason for this suggestion is when people search then you wouldn't get a profile of some that isn't visiting or using SH and would free up server space.
Sorry edit knocked off poll.
Just because they haven't visited for ages doesn't mean they never will again....
If there profile was deleted then they would have to rejoin and pay....Not fair really....
Some people browse the forums without logging in and keep their membership to go to munches in their area also...
might be an idea.......to say send a pm out out to all members..saying that if account not used for say 48 monthes then their profile would be deleted. We would all be well aware.... could also send an out the week before actual deletion...givng them chance to log on. Would help a little to see the real list of active members I think.
my twopennerth
ads for me are also a good sourse of information ..... i have found many a time that what someone says they are looking for and what they themselves have looked for often differ ..... ie. they say they are str8 but in the past have looked for bi ... inconsistancies (i know peoples preferences change over time) are a dead giveaway and hold valuable clues to whether or not you might like to meet them
keep the old profiles and ads as neither of them have any impact on how fast the site runs .. a slow chat room is the result of active members using the chatrooms not inactive members not using the site
Anyway, an active profile doesn't mean someone's up for meeting. I'd only ever PM someone with a view to a meet if they had an ad running asking for one.
but just because someone is not 'activly' chatting in open room does not necessaraly mean they are not there .. they could be whispering or perhaps just voyering ... or perhaps as in the past, when the site has played up .. to keep you in the room you put your status to idle ... perhaps rather than booting you the system puts you to idle automaticaly rather than booting you .. a bit how like msn works.. msn dont feel the need to disconect you, just put you to busy
