There is an awful lot of navel gazing goin' on at the moment. Who thinks what, about which category of person? Speaking as an inveterate analyser (just ask a few people around here rolleyes ) I just don't think it's too healthy.
So. With a week of cold weather forecast and the prospect of us all being snowed in, what activities would you like to fall back on to keep the winter chills at bay.
For me it would be mulled wine, an open fire, no interruptions and 5 hours of Tantric sex.
If anyone says rolling around in the snow switching eachother with hazel twigs I want to come and see it.

That sounds like bliss.

.

Join a book group like me, then you can do some novel gazing instead.

You're an invertebrate?! Cool!!
We got our first taste of snow last night when Vix & I went out to the chippy. It only lasted about 10 minutes, but nonetheless served to confirm what the weather reports have been trying to tell us (we rarely get snow in Glasters, though). Thus, I'm sitting at my computer desk next to the radiator, drinking cup after cup of hot coffee and watching Vix snooze peacefully in the bed next to me (wait, she's awake now and perusing the forums).
We can't get snowed in, though!! There are just too many wonderful activities scheduled over the next three weeks: We've got a little MMMMFF party next weekend (which includes genuine SH single males - *gasp*), the Medieval Banquet coming up on March 5th, and we'll be spending the weekend following that with the most wonderful couple in the world! passionkiss
Thus, thoughts of the future are more than enough to keep the Winter chills at bay! biggrin

Who has got snow, then? How far up the country are we gonna get before the wild weather stalls our progress?

Although that cabin with the roaring fire? Sounds bloody nice and toasty.

2 inches in Gateshead so I'm told by a mate - not that I'm there - I wouldn't go anywhere for 2 inches lol

Yeah. Mmmmm. Nice idea.
I went sledging with the little un today (blummin freezin!) but I'd much rather have been in a nice cosy pub with my lover, or better still, in bed!
The log cabin and open fire would be blissful but I don't really care where I am as long as I'm with him.
Sigh!

Ooooh put a hot tub before the open fire bit, cosy rug and cushions in front of the fire and I'm there, so very there!
No snow here in Derbyshire sad We've been out to Bakewell walking today (frozen to the bone now) and there hasn't been any sign of snow.
Forecast is overnight here though.

Did someone mention Naval.

Snowing in the middle bit Vix, but it isn't settling yet.
No snow here yet
Apparently, you learn something new every day.
Today I learned
.... that Kickers are not remotely water-proof.
... every street has an old man who clears the snow from his path with a spade at stupid o'clock in the morning. mad
... National Express cannot predict the weather 4 days in advance.
what did you learn today?
I learned that milk chocolate digestives taste different, like treacle toffee, after eating some dolly mixtures!
I kid you not, try it!
