Again, all i'm saying is that "swingers" are couples and those who seek to play with couples, whilst singles seeking singles are indulging in "recreational sex between consenting adults", which means that you are every bit as rightful to be on this site as absolutely anyone else - because the site does not cater specifically for "Just Swingers".
But at the risk of having my head shot off again - to be a "Swinger" - as in the dictionary definition of the word - you have to be as part of a couple or indulging in sex with a couple!
I'm NOT having a go at the great single people on here - i was just asking a question as to what people who have "recreational sex" would be coined as on the site. If "Swingers" have a title, and the term "Swingers" doesn't apply to them (which i don't believe it does and that my opinion!), then how would they be termed!

i suppose swinging is a state of mind but
I meet as a single fem, my hubbie meets as a single too, and i have to admit if i meet a single as a single i do not consider that swinging, as to me 1 on 1 with a guy does not feel like swinging, but then 1 on 1 with a guy is something i very very rearly do anyway

If its a state of mind also for the modern definition of it (i.e. has it been updated to include singles) then, yes, everybody is a swinger.

I said singles who exclusively seek singles for sexual purposes aren't, in the strictest "dictionary" sense of the word, swingers!!!
HOWEVER, if as has been discussed, that swinging is now, in the modern sense, a "state of mind", then people who are sexually liberated as everyone on this site is are swingers!
It depends what way you see it - i now see it as both ways, after the discussion! I didn't have a strict opinion or agenda - it was just a discussion!!!
So, in short, to dictionary define, not swingers. To literally apply and adapt in the modern sense, yes they are swingers.

I started the whole thing of because this is a forum.
On a forum you discuss things.
I brought up a point of discussion on a public forum, about a relevant topic.
I'm not being "high and mighty" - i'm just discussing a point.
Couples who have sex with couples are "Swingers". Singles who have sex with singles are not. By dictionary definition.
Thats called an opinion. At no stage in the above sentence have i said the words "swingers are better people than singles".
2 single people having sex is not swinging as its 1-on-1 sex and at that moment in time they're are not "swinging".
Swinging was a term made up to acknowledge those who "wife swap" - two couples who swap partners for extra-marital pleasure and to fulfil sexual fantasy. That is absolute fact.
However, being "Swingers" on this site (i.e. any couple) does not make us any better than those who cannot fall into that category.
All i'm saying, and this is ALL i'm saying, is that the term "Swingers", applies to couples who wife swap. That is what its always been. Thats the fact!
If you want to update the term swingers to mean those who are sexually liberal, then fine! All i'm saying is that to use the ORIGINAL term, its only couples (in fact, married couples, so even WE don't count) that are "Swingers".
Now how is that demeaning? How?
