Does Political Correctness exist in Swinging?

Just had one of those days dealing with so many examples of political correctness gone mad; made me wonder whether it exists in swinging? Or is it because we are tolerant of others' lusts and desire's we can co exist in harmony?
Cannot really think of an issue of PC rising its ugly head since we been here.
Feck; if thats the case we SHOULD take over the world lol

it would be a far happier place. :P

i think it does yes, we have a lot of couples look down their noses at us cause we meet as singles as well, for some reason people think if your a couple who both swing you should only meet together and we have on many occasions had the male half of couples say to my hubby.....i wouldnt allow my mrs to go out meeting alone :shock: well most guys wouldnt let their mrs go out shagging at all, i find a lot of people who swing and i have to say mainly couples have so many opinions on how swinging should and shouldnt be done, the fact is there is no right or wrong way its simply what works for you

Good god yes it does exist. In here for example. You could not get many people putting down exactly how they thought without always covering their arse by saying the 'right thing' sad

for fear of the response. Well we all want to be liked by all dont we so we may as well be all things to all men (ooops sorry and women) and say the right things in the right places.
I for one wonder at the room titles in chatland. I see for example that there is regulary a room called
Black cocks for white fems.
My wife has been in this room with me when having a quick look for you know ..... wink

and a guys went on cam who wasn't black and he got cried down and told to get out of the room by a white fem!!? i do lazily wonder if it would be deemed as offensive to start a room with
White dicks for Black chicks for example?
If i was a little braver i would open a room like it just to see but as i'm not a physical participant in swinging then I woulld feel a little fraudulent.

I think it does to a certain extent......I call myself a BBW........cos to others its a nice way of saying fat...... lol

Its an acceptable way of letting people know that you are fat/large/cuddly/reubenesque without actually saying "hey guys I'm one big fat mamma looking to be shagged senseless....anyone up for it??"
I would like to think that most people who use the site would be polite and try to be as non offensive as possible, but to hound someone out of a room for being the wrong colour.......surely racism in anyones book?

I'm a regular in the aforsaid black/white room(s) and I have seen what you describe. It is unfortunate when that happens. In 'our' defence I would say that we are - like the majority of rooms here - generally very open and accepting of all creeds and colours, but there are one or two things that don't go down well. Guys insisting that they are what 'we' want cos they have big dicks for instance. It's a bit ignorant to imagine that is all that a black guy is about or that we are (always redface

) that shallow. I've also been told that I am a traitor (he spelt it trator which made me laugh out loud) to my race cos I meet black guys.
But if you were to open the white guys for black chicks room, it would attract a wide range of people just like the existing ones do.
Please do come and visit us a again - you'll see some great banter - with black/white/male/female and one or two who have yet to make up their minds biggrin

And please don't feel we are racist in that room, I don't hate white guys, even the ladies who only go with black guys don't hate white guys (even though somethings the guys say about that can be very funny or rude) Choosing to only meet people of a specific colour is just the same as choosing only men or choosing only people from within 1 hour's drive.

Oh, and to comment on your mention of being fraudulent etc - not a bit of it - SH has people who range from weekly meets with different people right the way through the spectrum to non-meeters who only chat in room or on the forum. You are as much a valid host of a chat room as anyone - and I would certainly drop into a white guys for black fems room, just to say hi :D

It depends in which context it's referred too.
Personally I can be & have been PC with who I interact with
But then being PC is a very gray area & depends on peoples perceptions
Wolf Whistling... a compliment or invasion of privacy?
Bum Pinching... acceptable towards a flirting lady or an Asbo for your misconstrued signal?
Racial Name Calling... A formal greeting on the streets or a lawsuit?
Political Correctness is a bloody mine field

I'm somewhat disappointed to hear about Lost's experiences last time they were in the room
I have to put my hand on my heart & vouch for the majority of the room users & say this a friendly room & obviously due to the room title it does attract a fair amount of negative comments from some non-PC members on SH!
But having said that there a many white guys who do appear on cam in the room without the aforementioned abuse.
Sorry to divert from the topic of this thread...
I say sod PC... just use your common sense & if that ain't enough then let the saints save ya!

But then again... is the forementioned room title anymore offensive than for example if someone was the open up a room called "bareback sex"
or a room called "couples only"..... or a room called "beautiful people only"....or a room called "BBW's"
all of the rooms i have mentions there i have seen exist.... they all just happen to be preferences in what people may be after.. in fact if you want to take it to extremes you can add all those "regional" rooms as well..... I assume that you have preferences as well, i am sure we all do....

I agree totally NN, very well put. Another thing is the people who ONLY want to meet with people long-term, and look down their noses at people who have one-off meets.

I am in almost total agreement with you on this fabio. No one should compromise themseves unecessarily. Other than your point regarding area rooms which really are just about places not people.
As for bareback rooms. I think i'm well documented as too my viewpoint on that. It still remains a selfish and stupid thing to do I have never seen or heard an arguement that has convinced me otherwise.
We certainly meet people on a meet them like them basis and personally we have never had reason to think of anything other than the person whether that makes us lucky (i hope not)i dont know.
It would be rediculous to say we do not recognise differences between skin colour because of course we do. The same as we would ethnic dress etc'
Mrs Lost loves men with long hair but that's a preference not anything other than that and certainly doesnt make for discriminate in anyway.

Of course it exists and why shouldn't it? I take it we are talking about the right and wrong way to talk to people which can come down to discrimination.
In my opinion it has to be in place because at the end of the day, people can still be hurt.

Political correctness is a great phrase. As has been said before there is no need to offend people with what you say but...... I guess we know what is meant by the phrase in reality when people tie themselves and others in not offending anyone real or imaginary.
Is it here? Yes.
I think people find it acceptable for woman to request a large cock but would be offended if a tight pussy was requested. I am sure there are many many other examples.

Perhaps I should have worded the question better, but my point was that, in general, we have both found most peeps we've met very tolerant of others, and most tend to be more polite and considerate. Granted, we have our preferences for couples of a certain type, but we do not 'look down ' on others for having a different outlook, they are entitled to their point of view as we are to ours. And we would certainly not insult another person because of their preferences, as long as they did not impose themselves on us. So I dont think that PC exisits in swinging in the same way as in day to day living.

There was a classic complaint come in against someone yesterday (it happens a lot in some way or vice versa to this etc). "THIS IS RACIST" was all the complaint said, in capital shouting letters to come across as everso furious, as opposed to slightly miffed confused

I wandered off, ban button in pocket, to go find the offending ad. It was in fact a very short ad....
"Looking for white guys only, must be well endowed and between the age of 25-35."

If he was that offended, why did he not mention sizeism or ageism? Looks to me like he contacted them, got a knock back due to colour preference, which pissed him off, revenge tactic was to raise a complaint!!!

Not sure this really is the PC debate but I soooo agree with this sentiment.
Angelica and I swing together now but before she joined me I used to do so on my own and she says it's OK for me to do so now, if I want. Strangely though I get a cool, stand-offish, quizzical dunno

reaction if I suggest anything.
It's almost as if they think I'm prepared to cheat on her and they don't want to be part of it. Don't they realise that trust is the essence of swinging?

oh i've had that too lol cause i said to someone in the chat room once, again a couple, that i didnt like to have sex with people i got to friendly with, dont know why but it just dont feel right to me to shag people i consider as friends so i said that i'd rather meet as one offs and not get to close to the people i have sex with and this person said arnt you worried you'll get a bad name :shock:
