I have been wondering about this...

It has been suggested that because I am a teacher and am always in control at work, that's one of the reasons that I like to be submissive in other areas :gagged:
What do you think?
Does the thing you do all day affect your sexuality?

Definitely.
Two major reasons:
1) I'm one of the bosses. Power is a wonderful aphrodisiac. 'nuff sad.
2) I've been having a torrid relationship with the woman in the next office for years..... wink

Interesting question! I'd have to agree with that, I run a business, manage a team and make a lot of decisions throughout the day so I'm used to being the one in control. As a result, my natural sexual personality is a dominating one but I really enjoy giving up that control to someone else too, probably more so because I find it difficult to do so and it sometimes becomes a power struggle first! :twisted:
A lot would depend on what you do though and people who answer no now might give a very different answer after a couple of promotions or job changes!

The more I think about it the more I think my job as an affect on my sexuality and my personal life but not necessarily in the way you would imagine.
Working in Project Management means I am constantly planning, organising, monitoring and ensuring that everything is happening just as it should, when it should.
So when it comes to my personal life I like to be as unorganised as I possibly can, do things on the spare of the moment, change my plans daily and generaly be as reckless as I can safely can be! Maybe thats why I dont like doing pre-arranged meets and always ask for invites to parties on the last minute, usually just as the list is closing rolleyes

I haven't always been a teacher but I have always been highly sexed and very curious about other women. I don't think my job has made any difference other than given us the means to get out more.

I'm unemployed and haven't had sex for 21 months, so I guess they are related. (although only been unemployed for 1 month)

I was unemployed for 3 years at one point, it did not effect my sex life, I shagged the bird in the job centre

Nah, my job doesn't affect my sexuality, though I have flexible hours and a private(ish) office so I can sit on SH all day and sneak off for daytime shags sometimes. I am not complaining at all lol

I earn a crust in the adult industry. But it was my sex life which effected my choice of career rather than the other way round.
In fact, it was joining SH which smoothed the path to my new career! biggrin

I have only recently become a teacher too, but I think that the job has given me the confidence to do all the things I have been wanting to do all these years :jagsatwork:

Hell yes ! sad

Academic-in-training is bad enough for the sex life, but academic-in-training in computer science is probably the closest thing the modern world has to being a monk :shock:
However permanent access to (and early proficiency with) computers and the internet has allowed me to expand my horizons (e.g. by finding this site ;) ) and I'll agree with Blue that having flexible hours is definitely an advantage which I have put to good use a few times :twisted:

My occupation affects my sex life but not sexuality. My profession requires me to be registered with a professional body. This means I have to keep my vices very descrete or I can be struck off for "bringing the profession into disrepute" :cry:

My Ex threatened to tell my employer of my exploits, while away on company business, and get me sacked....

For me the answer would be a definite yes. However, I really enjoy what I do and get a lot of feelgood factors from it so therefore rate it as more important than my sexual inclinations. I suppose to me it is important to be in control of my sexual drives than having it control me.
