Hehe, I've seen it before, and read Snopes take on it....the following is reassurance is it? :shock:
1: The picture is genuine
2: They do exist, they're just not "proper" spiders (more like scorpions in fact...)
3: They can't go 25mph stupid.....just 10 (how fast can you run....)
4: They aren't poisonous....they just bite like buggery.

Glad you pointed that out cos I was thinking I was a bit more scared after reading the snopes devaluing of the creature than I was making up eight legged freak style stories in my head... at least making stuff up *is* ficticious!

Ewww. and I can't believe I actually went back to count it's legs thinking maybe they were overextended palps or something similar..... no..... it appears to be ten legs each. Which... technically doesn't make it a spider... but thats what it is classified as, which make it worse cos I don't like scorpions much as it is... but a scorpion masquerading as a spider is just bad and wrong.
a small bit of paper just fell off the top of my monitor and I nearly shit myself!

That reminds me of the program I saw the other week where they explained how rats can climb up the inside of your drainpipes and end up in the toilet bowl. Apparently the splashing sound attracts them :twisted:
