:borg: :bounce:
I don't normally watch it but got visitors staying at the moment so relented and let them turn the telly on lol
Expect I shall have to watch it this week as well....
don't tell anyone but I actually enjoyed it cool
is it sat yet!!!!!!!!!!!!! rolleyes
Sorry to be a spoiler but.......
Russel T Davies the producer is leaving
He gave Tennent the job via the old pals act (not that i'm complaining hes the best Doc so far)
The big big roumer on the net is the new producer is bringing in someone else also via the old pals act and if it is correct i think he will be an even better Doc
Oh heck.... where did you hear this?? let me know!
Robert Carlyle is 2 to 1 favourite with some bookies...
I feel normal!
Every time I say I just love the new series of Dr Who I get very strange looks and comments.
At least my husband takes me seriously, he bought me my own sonic screwdriver! It doesn't make the noise though, or is he just humouring me?
I love this new series as its not just Dr Who versus some monster or another and all the episodes really make you think, and it's scary stuff.
I don't have many theories about the regeneration but I do agree the hand in the jar is involved and David Tennant will not be leaving yet, he can't, he is brilliant.
When I found out Catherine Tate was going to be the Doctors new companion I just couldn't imagine it but she is fantastic. I did like Rose and Martha just as much though. The Doctor is in love with Rose though, his face when he saw her in last weeks episode.
I could go on and on, just had to add my thoughts on the best programme on TV at the moment.
Maggie
Oh, and if anyone does arrange a Doctor Who party or a trip to Gallifrey, COUNT ME IN!
Nothing constructive to add in the theory stakes.... just wanted to say.......

Edit: Just decided that some people have far too much time on their hands! Check out!

I am BEYOND traumatised!

Although not an avid fan- I do like DW and have watched & enjoyed it of late. However (lone voice here..) I think saturdays episode, whilst enjoyable, was far too cliche ridden for my liking...and the whole Dr's Army thing just a little too schmaltzy.
I also preferred Christopher Eccleston! However, I remember saying after the Xmas special that Catherine Tate was bloody good- and think she playes a nicely multi-faceted assistant. I think Rose became a really good assistant too- but Martha Jones? Cardboard!
The cinematography & effects were cool on Saturday, but Rose going all Lara croft? Nah.
And was anyone else expecting the background music to be "So long and thanks for all the bees?" dunno
The doctor is in..... Now come and lay on my couch and talk it out ....

This is just conjecture of course and I could be very wrong...as I usually am. But the hand is definately involved somewhere!!
Have loved this series and loved Catherine Tate, really great!

Question, if everyone is right and the hand or whatever stops the regeneration, what's Donna's big loss?
Is it her mum or granddad, or something less tangiable, maybe her future, or she gets left behind, or ........
I must admit when I heard that Catherine Tate was the new assistant I went NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
However, after the first few episodes where she could have been one of her own characters, she's become a very good, strong assistant - never thought I'd say that.

Must admit, I think that the Doctor's Daughter episode earlier in series left the door wide open for this....
