There was once a pilot made for a potential series called 'Into Infininity'... typical scenario, happens everyday now (this must have been late seventies/early eighties) you know how it is... deep space travel (as you do) a minor accident esculates (H&S ignored) and Lo! you find you craft being inexurably drawn into into the field of influence of a Black Hole... (everywhere these days).
You survive crossing the Event Horizon (not so common) without being crushed to the size of an atom to to find yourself in an alternative universe (can't move for the pesky things nowadays).
But I thought it rather exciting back then.
I do love my Science Fiction. Never lost the taste for it since I was a tiny quiet and withdrawn teenager in the local dusty library finding gems by Huxley and his ilk.
'Hard Science' is the stuff I read nowadays... there are ripping yarns.. but the 'actual' science involved is absolutley terrific.
tell me... have been any astounding Sci-Fi films recently that I may have missed?

It's a time loop, after a certain age you start to loop back to 5!
I feel like 50 at the moment...... :giggle:
Then you are approaching a point in space where it looks like every thing is speeding up around you. You are being drawn into the influence of a massive gravity well. If you are lucky you have just enough energy to loop around it and come out where you started, child like. If not you will be pulled down onto it's surface at every increasing speed, to your doom.
I think I have just enough energy to loop.......... just need more chocolate to boost reserves...
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting Dr Who withdrawal symptoms... Have started watching the Christopher Ecclestone re-runs on Uk Gold.. but hes not the same as David Tennant.....
HELP!!!!!!!
Did you know that Doctor Who is also a gay icon? A man with two hearts -one for a boy and one for a girl? This of course was never shown in the classic series as he never showed any interest in that way.
Now he has snog all his companions (mid-life crisis) Poor old Davros though didn't get so much a peck on the cheek. That's bad dentisty for you!
I found Heroes series 2 to be rather boring, the twins were annoying ... anyhow, DW ... how come Rose couldn't stay in our universe because she'd been travelling with the Dr so had that 'energy' stuff around her, but Mickey could? He'd been travelling too after all ...
... Oh, another thing, Dr River Song for new assistant - she's in his future and the DT Dr's future at that ...
I really must start watching Heroes..... but I still miss DT!!! We won't know what is happening until christmas ... watch this space...
OK I've not read any of this cos I missed all the last DrWho's, they're repeating on BBC3 at the moment and I hope they're going to show the whole series again.
