Why, while dreaming.......
*Do we find it impossible to run fast(if at all)?
and
*Can we not see numbers or colours?
I didn't know we could not do those things, must have a dream tonight to find out if you can. lol
Apparently not!.. although this was the subject of some debating tonight!.
Also discussed were the classics.. "teeth falling out" dreams, the "Falling and waking up" dreams and the "being naked infront of people" dreams. Although the latter could be confused with a usual saturday night!!. redface
I used to as a child/young teen have the "I can fly" dreams too - I loved them they were so real soaring and diving in clear blue skies on balmy summer evenings. Wish I could dream that dream with that sort of realism still
The falling dreams i had also and they used to be awful. The dream started with me falling and spinning and getting faster and faster until I awoke with a start sometimes feeling awfully sick.
This often went hand in hand with diving into a swimming pool and it closing over the top of me before i could get out and then the falling spinning started (shudder) no missing that bloody dream I telling ya
I'm a strong beleiver in dreams having meaning - not always but often.
Not taht they predict the future but that they reflect how we feel about something in our lives.
I suppose the teeth falling out thing could be a simply worry about dentistry - but I doubt it. LOL
When I have dreams that I remember (rare enough) I try to work out how I felt during the dream. If in my dream, I was on a journey and felt scared that I would be late or had forgotten something that would often reflect the fact that I was involved in something new and was concerned to make sure I remembered to do everything. But if I had the same dream but was glad to be travelling, I would interpret that as reflecting being happy and confident of a change in my life.
Sometimes a vivid dream is the first sign that there is something in my life I need to think about rather than just 'go with the flow'.
yes i'm similar.. I tend to wake and make a subconcious mental note of what the dream entailed so that i can ponder on it the next day.. sad i know!.. lol.
a while ago i managed to adapt a way of getting back into the dream after momentarily waking up.. but the thing is my dream would be totally changed.. You could argue it werent the same dream at all but it was definitely linked.
teeth falling out is apparently a dream that may suggest feelings of losing a grip on life or that you are majorly stressed!.
the running and colours thing i still debate (yeh i know my days at work must fly by wink )..
I dream a lot.
I have had dreams where I can hear.
I have dreams in technicolour.
I have dreams so real that I wake and have to check (I once had a dream that my motorbike had been stolen, so vivid that when I looked out of the window in the morning I was shocked to see it still there)
I have also been lucky enough to have a couple of dreams where I even had the sensation of touch!
Dreams are individual in intensity and can vary in intensity with one person as well.
Strange old world init!
when my dad died i couldnt stand to fall asleep as every time i would dream about my dad.
things would be good, normal, he didnt have cancer and he wasnt about to die or had died.
i really really hated those dreams cause every morning the pain of him dying was as raw as the first day as i just ached of missing him so much.
i dont dream of him any more, sad
some people said i should have welcomed those dreams as it ment i still got to be with him, but i just couldnt stand the pain.
i havent really had a dream that i can remember since they stopped, but then i dont really sleep that deep anymore.
xx fem xx
I have a dream....
lp
Fem, i can most definitely relate to that sort of dream. For me it was the end of a really significant episode of my life.
And although the dreams felt unfair, id literally hope id have those dreams again the following night. It made me feel close to important things or people.
But over time the dreams altered. Dreams can clearly be as bad as they are good for you but in he main,, i think its a very interesting thing and something that should be embraced. We'll always dream, so i guess we should make the most of it huh!.
