Over the course of the last couple of months I have been quite stressed with course work, exams and ex problems. Anyway ................... this has led me to have some really weird dreams, one of which I have deciphered myself, but another two I just can't work out. Any comments appreciated.
OK, so here goes ..............................
Dream 1
I am lying in bed with my partner at my mum's house (which haven't lived there since I was 19 y.o.) and it was a hot summers night. The big window was open to let some air in and I woke up in the night to the sound of rustling. I looked out of the bedroom window, which incidentally had no blinds or curtains, to see a tall, large man who appeared to be doing the gardening! In my dream I lay back down and closed my eyes. I then heard louder noises, so I then opened my eyes again to see the aforementioned man climbing through the bedroom window with a large knife in his hand. I then start screaming and shouting "Dave, Dave wake up", only to look across at him to see that it was my ex actually lying in the bed next to me  . At that point the man moved to my ex and slit his throat   , terror was running through me as I bolt out of the bedroom with my mobile phone in my hand, trying to call the police and get my children to safety. I woke up at that point and could not get back to sleep all night because I was scared!!!
Dream 2 - Which Is A Reoccuring Dream
I am standing in a public place, could be a supermarket, work, university and I faint/pass out and I am lying on the floor in a heap. I can hear people around me but I cannot move or talk. Eventually someone calls an ambulance and I get taken to hospital.
Help!!!
Dream 1
Have you had contact with your ex? Has something reminded you of your ex?
You had a bad break-up and you did consider the joy of cutting his throat?
It is just your brain playing tricks.

I do not know, but someone will say, " Your life is out of control, you feel helpless and are hoping for someone to come and rescue you."
Stop thinking about the dream, it will go away. Your mind loves to play tricks.

I used to have a dreamer's dictionary which was great, I remember that often dreams are the reverse in their interpretation i.e. life/death.
A lot of recurrent dreams such are yours I believe are insecurity dreams, I often have a similarish one that occurs occasionally often out of the blue. It's alway the same and very very weird!!!

To dream that you are in the bedroom, signifies aspects of your self that you keep private. It is also indicative of your sexual nature
To dream that you are sleeping, denotes peace of mind. Alternatively, it may also mean that you are ignorant and not fully aware of the conditions and circumstances around you. If you are sleeping with a stranger, suggests that you are avoiding some issue or situation that is being symbolized by the stranger. Perhaps you are refusing to recognize a negative aspect of yourself.
To see others sleeping, is often a reflection of yourself and your own unconscious mind. It is indicative of how you may not be alert or informed about a particular situation.
Sleeping may also be synonymous with death in that it beckons renewal and new beginnings.
To hear a strange noise in your dream, signifies the unexpected and the unknown. You may be expressing some fear or confusion concerning a particular situation in your waking life. The noise in your dream may serve as a way to attract your attention to that issue. Alternatively, noise may represent a breakthrough in your personal struggles. Perhaps you have burst through a barrier of resistance which had been holding you back for a long time.
To see windows in your dream, signifies bright hopes, vast possibilities and insight.
To dream that you arelooking out the window, signifies your outlook on life, your consciousness, point of view, awareness, and intuition. You may be reflecting on a decision and seeking guidance. Or you need to go out into the larger world and experience life. If you are looking in the window, then it indicates that you are doing some soul searching and looking within yourself.
To see a vegetable or fruit garden in your dream, indicates that your hard work and diligence will pay off in the end. It is also symbolic of stability and inner growth.
To see a flower garden in your dream, represents tranquility, comfort, love and domestic bliss. You need to be nurturing.
To see sparse, weed-infested garden, suggests that you have neglected your spiritual needs. You are not on top of things.
To see a stranger in your dream, signifies a part of yourself that is repressed and hidden. Alternatively, it symbolizes the archetypal dream helper who is trying to offer some insight and advice.
To dream that you are carrying a knife, signifies anger, aggression and/or separation. There may be something in your life that you need to cut out and get rid of. Alternatively, the knife may be symbolic of something divisive in your life. You may be attempting to cut ties or sever some relationship.
To dream that you witness a murder, indicates deep-seated anger towards somebody. Consider how the victim represents aspects of yourself that you want to destroy or eliminate.

Fainting
To dream that you are fainting, suggests your inability to confront some unconscious issue or feelings. You need to be more aware and acknowledge of those feelings.
To see a family member faint in your dream, signifies that you will hear some indiscreet activities from that person.
To dream that you are calling or signaling for help, suggests that you are feeling lost, overwhelmed, and/or inadequate.

Angelchat - ltns kiss , where have you been hiding?
Thank you so much Angelchat - there is certainly a lot of points in your post that are directly relevant to my life at the moment. I am a firm believer that dreams are a reflection of your unconscious pschye and those feelings that are repressed cannot be held down indefinately and will eventually out themselves in the only way they can, which is through our dreams.
Thanks again for unravelling my mystery. Hope to see you out and about soon
