Dreams were mentioned today on another thread, which got me pondering about how they relate to our conscious thinking and also how they make us feel the next day.
Often dreams can be incomprehensible - not seeming to relate to reality but sometimes they can be obviously triggered by day to day things and they can be quite disturbing too.
When this happens they can prey on our minds with fear that can be irrational but all too real. Have you ever spent a whole day under a cloud because of a dream? I know I have.
Sometimes swinging can be quite an emotional experience and I'm sure is a rich source of things that can be the subject of dreams - both positive and fearful.
Does anyone else agree?

and theres me thinking this would be a discussion about Fleetwood Mac
I use to dream about being chased by lots of women, and trying to get away from them by flying, but i could never get off the ground properly and it was all in slow motion....i was a teenager when these dreams happened by the way!
I had a dream once....about a girl i had never met.....but very real in my dream, when i woke up i was devasted that it was all a dream and that the girl was not real...i was really heart broken!....again i was a teenager!
i have had a dream so real that when i woke up i could actually see the person standing in my room, that freaked me out.
i have also had nightmares that have woken me up and shook me so badly i havent dared to go back to sleep in case it starts again
there is also a dream that makes me wake up but when i do, i physically cant move and it feels like something is laid on top of me holding me down, this really scares me
luckily these dreams are quite infrequent.

My friend is a great believer in analysing dreams, she has a few dream books. When I was younger I had a dream that I was always arriving at school buck naked and having to run round like that all day, it was horrible. Apparently it meant I was quite conscious about my body and didn't like attention drawn to myself (the opposite to my dream)...
now me thinks it was a sign of what I was getting into in my adult like..
