OK - so I am sitting in my home office space today trying to at least pretend I am working from home, but thinking it is too nice a day not to skive. After just messing about on the internet all morning, I started to actually do some work until my common sense got the better of me and finally late this afternoon I decided to go out, do some personal stuff and do the work in the cooler evening.
All sounds good so far?
Before I went out I had sorted out my receipts to do my expenses form when I returned - all present and correct.
Now sitting in the same spot, at the desk, PC in front of me.... where the fuck has half my stuff gone?
I had a pencil in my hand to tick off the receipts from the statement, put it down for two ticks.... GONE!
Picked up a pen to use that instead and ticked everything. Put the pen down. Went to pick it up to sign the form - GONE!
The stapler which had been in front of me ready to staple the receipts - GONE!
The first two receipts I had not mote that 10 minutes earlier ticked off - GONE!
Thought "stuff this" and went to have a ciggie... lighter - GONE!
mad
Is it Gremlin weather or something?

You have a Pixie infestation m'aam. Gremlins are never that well organised.
I do that all the time. So do the gremlins actualy live at my house or have they moved to yours. lol
Errrr PL - are you in the right house? dunno
Easy mistake to make, go out, things on yer mind, and before you know it yer in the wrong house at the wrong PC confused Have you noticed neighbours just wandering about 'your' house, making themselves at home, maybe keep sighing, tutting and looking at their watch each time they walk past the PC? dunno
Wasn't so long ago when both me and mini missy jumped in the wrong car, strapped ourselves in and everything confused - was only after fiddling with the ignition, getting crosser, that I looked around, noticed how tidy it was, and realised we were sat in my neighbours car blink redface

I've locked my doors lol
I have exactly the same thing. There's three of 'em and what's more I know their names.
They're called Tide, Ying and Up.
Not absolutely certain but I think Mrs TE is on first name terms with 'em.
I've had a couple of run ins with the car gremlins. When Tesco opened the Extra store here, the little buggers moved my car and it took me almost 45 minutes to find it. I almost forgot what my car looked like by the time I found it  by then they'd moved it back to where I KNEW I'd parked it in the first place !

:giggle:
It's the Borrowers - I have some too. Must be first cousins to your lot. Now I have to ask them, out loud, to put things back and then, after a short interval, they are returned. Not always to the place I had put them but usually somewhere close by - an inch or two makes all the difference on my desk!!
lol lol
I have them as well but they only seem to move car keys.............at one point I had 4 sets of keys to the car all of them lost confused
It wokrs like this................... I come in put the car keys down do what ever I have to do but then when I want to go out again I hunt high and low for my keys but can never find them but I stumble up on a set I lost ages ago and use them. Then it happens again and I find another set, and again, and again lol
They keep moving my mobile phone the little buggers.
I think you are all mistaken, the less than destructive manor that the things you are talking about mean they can not be gremlins. Gremlins are destructive by nature. I think you are all be plagued by 'little people' Pixies.
This is often as a result of taking something that belongs to them. So if you have found something, just lying around ask your self was did it belong to a pixie. Did you when on a trip to the woods turn over a hear a small scream, not knowing where it came from. You may have hurt a pixie.
To stop things get worse you must return anything you may have 'found'. I think there is a way to stop what is happening to you, but I do not know it. You may need to take a trip to Irland, there are experts there.
On the other hand they may be Borrowers, but I have never know them to borrow a car. The TV ad is just a fiction. If they are borrowers just put out traps. You will have trouble killing them, they are clever. However once they are dead they are gone.
well the little feckers have visited us, we have 2 of those cordless phones in our house, anyway the phone rings and theres us running round the house cos we can hear it but cant find it, and of course its my fault as I always leave the upstairs phone downstairs,
and they say these phones are to make things easier mad
I think thay have move back into my house

My sofa always eats the cordless phones mad
Along with mobile phones, remote controls and hair brushes mad Would be ok, but you have to put yer hand in all them 'bits' to get em out........ where do the bits come from? dunno Can pull all the covers off the sofa, wash em, put em all back - and guaranteed within 2 minutes it's eaten at least 2 remotes, a phone............ and more bits!!! confused Ewwwwww confused
