dummy (automated) PMs

Up till now I spend time on SH periodically - I go thru phases of a few weeks when I can spend a few minutes or an hour reading and posting and then there may be long periods when I just don't get the chance (though all the lovely peeps stay in my thoughts smile

) - and I always answer PMs.
Since the changeover of site ownership / new style site I now get regular messages telling me to update my profile, which I don't choose to do, and, although admin can be blocked the emails telling me to check PMs (when they are simply admin) cannot, as far as I can tell. So I'm often ignoring them.
So if anyone does PM me and doesn't get an answer for a while that's why/ Probably this post will get censored but one can but try :therethere:

It would probably take less than 30 seconds a week to delete the admin pm's, should leave you 604770 seconds free time after that every week.

if 438640 members each waste 30 seconds on this, that's 152 days of our time wasted.
If you keep on sending these weekly for the next 240 weeks, they you'll have wasted an entire human lifetime, you murderer! lol

Seriously though, would it not be better if the system automatically took the hint that some of us don't want to be too specific in our profiles?

In my account settings it says
Do you want to receive Swinging Heaven Newsletters etc ? I've ticked NO! The etc on this I have wrongly presumed to cover this update your profile email! I can't make up my mind whether to class it as spam or bullying tactics.
I've ticked this for a reason ...... I don't need to be told that there are new members living near me ... I'm 33 and can easily search for them myself! (not that I'm likely to as the thought of bumping into someone in the playground at the kids school doesn't thrill me).
And I would happily update my profile IF there was a category that I fitted into!
Perhaps we all ought to send one back to the Admin account each time we get one ... I've replied and it's never been picked up/read so if we all did it the we'd possibly fill the admin box and they'd get the message ?
