Went to see one once who told me I had 2 children, I have 3 to which she said oh yes I see that now, basically she got nothing right.
A work mate went to see one, was told various stuff then when leaving fell down the steps of the caravan, she wasn't foretold that surprisingly.

I did, I was not going to, but she offered a free reading. She looked at my hand and told me. 'You have had great trouble and pain in your life.... You will meet a tall dark woman. Your life line has been dissected, which indicates you have a decision to make.'
I gave her a coin and that started other reading. Well it was for charity. It so happens she was right I did meet a tall dark woman that night, the fortune teller, and I did make a decision. As for the great trouble and pain in my life, even if she had not known me the scars on my hand would have said as much.

There are a few charlatans, but on the whole the ones I have seen have been pretty spot on.. and told me things only those who have passed would have known...
Until you have seen something first hand, its difficult to believe...
