When I was at college, but sadly not living on campus, I heard the following from some of my pals. They spotted a girl in a room in the neighbouring block who was... getting rather excited wink

Many years ago , whilst serving in Northern Ireland, we had a certain building which was used for interviewing suspects on the ground floor and female accommodation on the floor above. During the interviews, tapes were made for future reference. However, quite often on playback, there was a distinct hum, which was masking the actual interview. New tape machines were brought in and tested and retested to try and discover where this hum was coming from.
