Excuses for not going out...

I'm in the process of doing hair and putting on my slap for a night out with colleagues...
I'm suddenly struck with a desire not to go.
Anyone give me a good excuse?

i feel the same, i shaved and bathed , pressed my kit,wifey working afternoons so no probs!
Getting my brownie points by putting out the washing, then thought -balls to it-so im chilling out watching tv and checking out s h. lol

not feeling well, under the weather n need to make sure you are ok for monday and given your professions dont want to pass what you may have onto the others, best holeup for a couple of days make sure it passes

if posible i would txt someone to say i wasnt going though
we are invited out tonite but i dont want to go, its with people i work with and its bad enough having to work with them let alone socialise with them, most of them anyway !
troule is that gary is far more social than i am and he would like to go which makes me feel guilty if i dont but the effort of bathing and getting ready makes me feel exhausted without even doing it, id rather have a bath and go bed with gary and a bottle of wine :)

I have actually got a big family lunch tomorrow - but that is causing lots of stress and tension so perhaps getting out for a couple of hours will do me good.
I'm upset noone has come up with anything along the going-out equivalent of "the budgie ate my homework"

I can't give you an excuse Nola... if I don't want to go, I'm honest about it. I just say I don't want to go. biggrin

However, sometimes the nights that you're not really looking forward to turn out to be the best ones and I find myself glad that I made the effort to go. :thumbup:

I've got a good one. I was just about to leave the house for the (major) party I've been looking forward to for weeks. Shoes on feet, bag on shoulder- keys in hand. At the last moment, the sibling rivalry bout from hell broke out. So, I'm sitting in my glad rags on the sofa with only the internet and some (gross) red wine for company. mad

I went. It was to a colleagues house... one drink turned into several and we gossiped and giggled until the wee small hours.
Alas my journey to the Midlands on Sunday was then an unpleasantly hungover one - so that'll teach me!
