I have noticed the word “ twat” being used quite a lot in the forum of late
First used by “ Jag’s” if im not mistaken ?
So I looked the word and its uses up and found this
• A fool, synonymous with the word twit - 'You are a real twat and a half'
• One who behaves in a childish, extroverted manner to the annoyance of others
• To hit something (or someone) really hard or violently - 'I twatted him one'
• To become drunk or otherwise intoxicated - 'Let's get twatted'

Quite funny realy !
So I woundered if anyone else had anymore funny “ expleateves or colour full metaphers “ they would like to shair ?
And if anyone takes this thread serius ill bloody “twat um” wink
its always made me laugh that pissed means different things over here yet if you use it when your speaking to an american they will just think you mean angry
I use the term 'pissed' for angry all the time.
And 'twat' though a horrible word, is one of my own personal favourites to describe morons of the highest order rolleyes
The other day, by chance, I looked up the meaning of the word 'git'. I had always thought of it as in 'miserable git' ie a person you had contempt for, but in my dictionary at least, a 'git' is a worthless person.
It does not follow that a person would have contempt for a worthless individual does it?
A rather abrasive woman I used to work with a few years ago used to describe anyone who annoyed her as a "complete dildo". It should have made me laugh but she scared me to death!
My (swear)word of the week is Fuckwit.
No idea from whence it came, but I like to think of it as a fucking halfwit-abbreviated.
Actually isn't a 'twat' a pregnant female fish??
I don't swear much or use pet names nor name calling but when I lose my temper with someone I tend to use sayings "are you for real?" (yeah I know reeeealy big swearing!) "wind your neck in", "get a life not a half hour tantrum" "I'll pick your toys up from the pram shall I?" I think I'm more patronising than swear word fuelled, it kind of winds people up more
Yes, I have the zzzzzzzzzzzzz factor bolt

Nooooo- Im with you on this one. I get the better of people by being calm, they get more wound up, make themselves look daft & are far more likely to show any inconsistencies in their argument, which I then pick up on.
However, when being cut up at traffic lights, Fuckwit is a good substitute.
If I were to call sombody something is would probably be "Knob jockey!"
redface

There's a user on here called TWONK lol
I still like and use "pillock", and it's fun to find something else beginning with "p" to put with it -"pinbrained pillock", for instance, is good.
And yes, Celestria, I love "numpty" - it's a brilliant word.
