lp
I sure do and I sure will! Last year on the Friday there was a little competion at the track and I won a pit lane pass for the day! Took loads of pics of the drivers and teams, then lost my camera on the Sunday.
Getting ready....................
Another great drive from Button he is unstopable!! Im a bit dissapointed with the Ferraris I thought they were getting back up there. Obviously not!
good job too, the red nastiness!
lp
in the absence of GP this weekend... there was Moto GP 2009, round 6, Catalunya.
Jolly exciting last three laps it was too!
lp
Yes it was very exiting wish the F1 went down to the last corner like that!
I leave tomorrow night for Silverstone im very exited
Schism!

do you think this "split" is going to happen?
lp
In a word......No smile
I'll bet Mr Ecclestones hair will turn grey with worry in the meantime though eh?

Road closures are in place, grr
Traffic chaos is starting, grr
Takes twice as long to get to work.
Helicopters and small planes are increasing overhead.
Red Arrows booked.
The joys of living near to Silverstone! lol

i'm not sure whethere this split will happen or not. is it really enough to have just 8 teams? also how will it work for track use and tv coverage and all that.

8 teams would be enough to start with, all the main players are there anyway. As far as tracks and TV coverage Brenie probably has a contract to provide coverage of F1 and a contract with each track for racing in exchange for a big chunk of money. If he has no teams he has no race or coverage and possibly a nice big hole in the contracts to let everyone slip out.
There's probably lots of legally bits in all the various contracts that should stop it happening or the teams would have buggered off and done it years ago as Bernie is reputed to get half of the F1 revenue while the teams get half between them. If nothing else it's gonna stir everything up a bit
For those in the know:-
1. Was Max vote to be president?
2. Can he be deposed so he is not president any more?
3. Bernie can he be deposed from what ever his position is?
brrm brrm fckin brrrm!
excuse me. 'cited.
lp
isn't the Austrian National Anthem groovy?
I enjoyed that race. Lots of good racing all the way through the field.

exactly!
I remember, if the site is still in the same place as it were when under a diferent owner, when their "factory" looked very much like an old cattle shed out in a field. hehe

does anyone know the music that was being played start and finish of the programme?
Absolutely lovely.
(& no, I don't mean the Fleetwood thing)

Didn't think it was a great race myself, much procession as they say you can't overtake, which I think is one of the reasons Massa managed to get up the field, Rubens was going slow, so he lost the 2nd place in the pit-stop but because it's so hard to over-take on the track he just slowed the whole field down which allowed Massa with his long strategy to just slot in.

there are 122 members of the FIA that have to vote for the president including a vatican vote, which is why his recent shenanigans came under such scrutiny.
he can only be voted out, how he got there was because he helped start F1 and has done so much to help safety standards in car and track side, dont forget he is only a figure head for the FIA which has lots of other motor sports interests ( i still think hes a twat and needs to be replaced, how anyone in thier right mind can call some of the FOTA members loonys in public and still hold respect is beyond me especially given the fact he is very intelligent and a lawyer by trade :silly: )
as for Bernie he holds the commercial rights and unless he sells out or losses all comercial credability he stays, but in my opinion he has no reason to go. In a couple of live interviews he has as good as not backed MAX in what he wants to do, but cant say it out right for obvious reasons.
It was a good race even if it was a procession, watching the coverage today reminds me of why i always used to go, until i looked at my pocket.
will be sad if we lose silverstone, although it seems all is not rose at donnington so who knows what will happen there. dunno
Germany is looking rather slippery in qualifying today!

They are off and Hamilton is in trouble
am i allowed to chuckle?

Blast the eyes of the stewards!
