The new circuit looks fantastic!!! I think we're on for a good race. My money is still on Kimi pulling something sneaky out of the bag, but, despite Massa being on pole, Lewis might get it together providing he doesn't overcook his tyres and McLaren don't drop the ball.
Can't wait!!!!!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hammy in the wall
Kovi to win
Kimi will have pit lane fisticuffs with an interfereing Schummi
Is anyone any the wiser after yesterdays qualy dunno
A new circuit is always an unknown entity indeed...
Has Massa got a little less fuel on board ?
Will Lewis kill his tyres early in the race ?
Will Kimi have a punch-up with Schumi :lol2:

You might have a point here, since Massa is benefitting from Schummi help and advice.

Thats what Schumi is paid for ;-)
well, under race conditions I wasn't all that struck with the circuit. It didn't inspire the greatest of racing spectacles did it?
...and what was all that with the 'investigation' into the ferrari 'pit-lane incident' being held over until after the race?
so, the ferrari teams electronic lollipop-man... good or bad?
lp
I missed it.. I was out working and my sky+ didn't record it mad will have to look online I guess...
our thomson box didnt record it either
we had checked it was set to record it and when we left the house it had the recording lite on so we presumed (wrongly) that it was recording ..... stupid machine ... seems to have a mind of its own ....
looked an interesting circuit too

Just had a quick look on here... lots of info about yesterday.. hope this helps!

Got to agree...
Track didn't produce any real racing at all :-(
The decision was held over to keep things interesting IMO...
If Ferrari knew they were going to get a 10 second penalty then they could well have just pulled the plug on the race and saved the engines/gearboxes dunno making it an even duller spectacle....
How arrogant was Massa in the press conference afterwards ???
HE should have yielded to the other car regardless of who it was as he enetered the pit lane after his stop after the other car.....
And as for the electronic lollipop rolleyes
Ferrari should be made to revert to the usual style lollipop as the electronic one is proven not to work and is dangerous....
Having slated Ferrari a little there Massa did drive a good race (apart from his pitstop blunder which wasn't really his fault) and was never headed....
They got to grips with the circuit better than anyone else...
So Ferrari escape again at the hands of the FIA mad
The circuit was supposed to be built for overtaking and Brundle was talking you through the corners where you could, 30 mins later interview with Hamilton and he said there is no where to overtake.
I thought it was a boring race made worse by no penalty given for unsafe exit in the pit lane. How Massa had the aduacity to say the force india car was at fault and he should have got out the way because, "I'm leading (massa) and he will have to pull over on the track any way" rolleyes
It was unsafe everyone saw it on the tv, I wonder what penalty any other team would have been give, 10,000 euro fine thats nothing.
Anyway as Steve said Massa still did drive a good race

Totally agree! Worse still if it was McLaren, they would thev been fined, docked points and black flagged probably.
Yet another example of one rule for Ferrari and another for the rest.
banghead :banghead: :banghead:
well now... Belgium 2008. That was interesting was it not?
I was enjoying watching a recording of the race... having already been forwarned to look out for an unexpected end.
The race on the whole was really rather good as far as Im concerned, but indeed... unexpected end!
tell you what though... I know not whether it's due to an improvement in comera work/angles etc, but I've always thought od Spa as a great track... but watching today... I found it a truely amazing circuit.

Hmmm I dont know if to laugh or cry, yet again FIA intervene in favour of ferrari.
Kovi took webber out fair enough so he gets a drive though, and Raikonen did he not do the same to sutil in monaco with no penalty dunno
And how on earth did Hamilton get done for for the latest one he let Raikonen pass after Hamilton was forced into the escape road. The fact that Raikonen could not race for toffee in the wet and crashed, I'm sorry but this is getting a farce now.
I looked forward to seriously good racing this year after years of boredom, we have had some seriously good racing spoilt by political decisions, not sure if I want to watch any more sad
you're learning
lp
yet again ferrari are favoured by the powers that be !!!
what a farce !!
Couldnt agree more with ukwineman
From my point of view i am a Massa fan but this is totally unjust. hamilton won it fair and square and this just looks like another McLaren witch hunt
Does anyone else think moseley reckons Ron released the tapes?

I said from day 1 Ron Dennis had something to do with that :lol2:
I for one will seriously think twice before watching F1 again....

This is now beyond a joke. This is a witch hunt backed by Max Mosley, and the Ferrari Interest Association, otherwise known as the FIA.
What's the point of having the races? Why don't we just hand the championship to Ferrari at the opening ceremony in Australia? That way the cars don't need to race and the teams would save millions in cost.
I'm so pissed off with the way Ferrari are always given the advantage over all the other teams.
mad :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
Even Niki Lauda has been quoted in saying it the worse desicion in the history of F1
If Hamilton had been a long way back and not catching him, and took him by going in too hard and fast then you might be able to think twice.
It was very very obvious Raikonen was not the faster car and would be over taken, beside the fact he let him go back in front. Charlie Whiteing the race director told Ron Dennis just after the incident let Raikonen pass and you should be ok.
You know what we will be back to men with red flags walking in front of the cars at this rate, hmm what colour is ferrai mad :x :x
Had a mad few days so forgot to post on this one.
Did you see the first night race, and the chaos that ensued rotflmao
May be a little bit of divine retribution, where Hamilton and Massa are concerened :rotflmao:
I have to say I thought it was a great race even before all the drama, and thought Massa was driving well and that would be that.
I jumped off my seat and scared my cat half to death when I watched Massa first pull the rig off, then drive into the path of Sutil AGAIN!!!!!!!! and then trundle off down the pit lane with the hose attached :rotflmao:
The next thing could have been straight out of the keystone cops, watching the Ferrari boys run down the pit lane chasing after Massa and the McLaren boys jeering and clapping them on.
To make matter worse for Ferrari Raikonen crashes :rotflmao: this man is having a very poor season its almost as if he's a rookie again dunno
Like I said with Hamilton finishing 3rd and back to 7 points in front, I do think karma played a part :bounce:

Don't recall seeing Massa being penalised for causing that crash... perhaps you only get penalised for NOT causing crashes and driving McClaren...
:dunno:
Massa was given a drive through for unsafe pit release, which he took immediately so was easy to miss. which last time he only got a 10,000 euro fine, hows that for consistancy. but then again he was dead last anyway so made no difference whats so ever.
but of course the stewards will been seen to be doing the right thing this time :haha:
Did anyone notice how Massa drove off almost as soon as Kimi arrived behind him in the pits...
I reckon Kimi has a wee remote control that turns the traffic light to green thus ensuring Massa drives off at the wrong time :lol2:
Just watching Qualifying now....
Just entering Q3....
Its tight at the top
Please dont say who gets pole if you know smile
WooHoooooo
Lewis on pole and Massa down to fifth
anyone else watching it live ?
yup yup, brrm brrm
(LH, what a silly billy?)

has anyone else noticed how the drivers often say "for sure" during interviews ?

for sure! Northern European thing... Fins.
Gotta love 'em.
lp
Have you noticed the way L Hammie says anything at all and it's really annoying? Not sure why?
Have you notice we're talking about the things people say and not the magnificent race? hehe
Shouldn't really mention the amazing wheel to wheel drag race down the one mile straight between the Japanese Driver and LH resulting the pit lane punch-up between rival pit crews eh? Might ruin it those not having watched the race as yet.
Never see a safety car used to seperate teams either!!!
"leave it Renault, they're not worth it!
Surely they couldn't alll have been drunk?
Outrageous!
