The problem with naming and shaming is that it is too open to abuse.

How do you defend yourself if someone acuses you of arranging a meeting but not turning up or cancelling, it is your word against thiers.
Sadly on sites were naming and shaming is allowed people have been known to falsley acuse people just because they turned them down for a meet or because they just wanted to be nasty to someone else.

Rather than naming and shaming which I agree is open to abuse, How about a system where people who are known to be genuine have a rating/confirmation factor from others who they chat to or have met them to varify their genuinality.
