How can we tell fakes?..............on a number of occasions i have tried to chat to peeps from here.......
only to get the "sorry phone"......or the as soon as you chat they log off ETC!
trouble is they will send you pms...... giving msg... ....etc but its utter crap.......
we gotta have a system!

We HAVE a system. It is called the "report this ad "facility. If you have real evidence to suggest that someone in the ads system is a faker, timewaster, scammer etc, report the ad and the mods will look into it and ban the offender if necessary.
Apart from that, we all get stung occassionally, just get on with it.

From the quality of most of your posts, I'm not surprised they don't want to chat. It's probably not so much that they are time wasters or fakers, but just having a hard time trying to make head or tail of what you're saying half the time

I don't know which peeps you have had these problems with but part of it could just be how you express yourself - your posts tend to be pretty short and unclear, or just about you having a one sentence moan about something, starting a thread called FAKES in capitals and comments like 'utter crap' won't be helping you.
I don't know what you're like in person but I just get the impression that you've got some kind of chip on your shoulder - I don't mean to be arsey with you but do go read your posts so far and pretend someone else posted them, then consider what impression you'd form.

And on the other hand, after giving out msg etc. when you do meet some on msg they will swear blind that it was not them who instigated the meeting in the first place.

I thought i was IM'd by a new couple on here but it was that because they had previously emailed me that an auto reply saying "please IM me" had turned up in my buddies list, so,....... i did, as you would. They replied "No sorry, phones ringing gotta go" and logged off. whether that was genuine as i took it at the time that being new they were nervous i no longer know i still suspect it was but you've put doubt in my mind now.
Regardless of that i never go back to an add ive had no response from when ive answered it and don't like to PM people unless the thread asks for it directly just because im new myself and people don't know me that well or my PM has been of a non sexual nature.
